How our crowd & wait predictions work

At SupaPark, our wait time and crowd predictions aren’t just a hand-typed calendar or a best guess. They are generated by a dynamic forecasting model that blends years of historical Disney park data with what is actually happening in the parks right now.

Here is a look behind the scenes at how we forecast the best times to ride and when the parks will be busiest.

How the model works

Our forecasts combine two main types of data:

• Historical patterns: We analyze years of past wait times, seasonal trends, and crowd flows. This tells us what a typical Tuesday in October or a rainy afternoon in July usually looks like.
• Live signals: We constantly feed the model with live, in-park observations. If a major headliner ride breaks down, nearby wait times will often spike. If a sudden thunderstorm rolls in, outdoor rides will close and indoor lines will grow. Our model adjusts to these real-time conditions throughout the day.

Why we show confidence scores

We believe in being totally honest about our data. Rather than pretending to have a flawless crystal ball, we show you exactly how confident our model is in its current prediction using prediction intervals.

• High confidence: The park is behaving exactly as expected, and historical patterns perfectly match our live observations.
• Moderate or lower confidence: Something unusual is happening—like unexpected ride downtime, extreme weather, or a sudden change in park operations. When things get unpredictable, we widen our prediction intervals and tell you clearly that the forecast might shift.

By sharing these confidence levels, we give you the transparency you need to make smart, flexible decisions for your family.

Where to find our predictions

All of our core forecasting data is included in the Free plan forever. You never need a paid subscription to see the data:

• Crowd Calendar: Open the Plan tab in the app or head to /app/crowd to see overall park heat maps and crowd forecasts.
• Best Time to Ride: Check the Rides tab or /best-time-to-ride to see when your priority attraction usually has the shortest line.
• Real Wait Board: View live wait times and compare Disney’s posted times with actual measured waits right on your dashboard.
