It’s a prix-fixe princess experience — you’re seated, then Cinderella and a rotating court of princesses (think Aurora, Belle, Snow White, Jasmine) come table to table for photos and chatter while you eat. The room itself is the whole point, and on that front it absolutely delivers fairy-tale.

Here’s the honest part: this is an experience, not a food destination. You’re paying for the castle and the characters, not the cooking — the kitchen turns out perfectly fine, never transcendent, plated meals, and the tables can sit squeezed together more than you’d expect for the price. As a first trip, a kid’s bucket-list moment, or a milestone celebration, it’s genuinely magical and worth every penny. As a ‘this list told me to’ booking, it’s the easiest way to torch a big chunk of your dining budget and a chunk of midday park hours.

The other catch is getting in at all. Reservations open 60 days out at 6:00 AM ET and evaporate fast, and CRT is one of the toughest tables in all of Walt Disney World to land. It’s a plan-around-it meal, not a grab-it-on-a-whim one — which is exactly the kind of thing worth letting a tool watch for you.

This is a buy if the castle-and-princesses fantasy is the goal — first-timers, little ones in costume, a special-occasion splurge. Go in knowing you’re booking a setting and a memory, not a meal, and you’ll love it. If you’re chasing the best food in Magic Kingdom or trying to spend smart, skip it without guilt: a $16–$19 counter meal with a real castle view (Columbia Harbour House’s upstairs windows, a blanket on the lawn at Casey’s) beats this as actual eating, and you save the table-service money for a genuine value play like Liberty Tree Tavern.
