Citricos is the Grand Floridian’s quietly excellent Mediterranean-American signature — the one that gets overshadowed by Victoria & Albert’s upstairs and Narcoossee’s down on the lagoon, which is exactly why it’s one of the best-kept dining secrets on the monorail loop. The room is sleek and grown-up, with big windows, an open kitchen you can watch, and a subtle Mary Poppins Returns theme woven into the refurb — look up and you’ll spot chandeliers shaped like umbrellas. It’s polished without being stuffy: white-tablecloth quality, but you won’t feel out of place in a nice resort-casual outfit.

The food leans coastal Mediterranean with serious technique behind it — this is a real signature kitchen, not a hotel restaurant coasting on its address. The filet is the headliner most people come for, and the menu rotates seasonally enough that it stays interesting trip to trip. It’s expensive (this is a deluxe-resort signature, so plan accordingly), but you’re paying for cooking that actually delivers, in a setting calm enough to hear the people across the table.
