Grandstand Spirits is the pool bar at Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort — a small, no-frills counter parked by the Surfboard Bay Pool, slinging frozen cocktails, beer, wine, and a short list of canned and bottled drinks to people who don’t want to leave the water. This is a place for a cold drink with your toes in the deck chairs, not a sit-down meal. Food is minimal at best; the real kitchen is steps away.

Here’s the detail almost nobody points out: unlike the standalone pool bars over at Art of Animation and Pop Century, the All-Star pool bars — Grandstand at Sports, Singing Spirits at Music, Silver Screen Spirits at Movies — are built right onto their food courts. At Sports that means the End Zone Food Court is just inside, so you’re never more than a few feet from a full quick-service spread. That layout is the whole strategy here.

Don’t come expecting theming or a scene. It’s a value-resort pool bar doing exactly what it should: getting a frozen drink into your hand fast after a long park day, or keeping the grown-ups happy while the kids cannonball. Judge it on convenience and price, not ambiance.

This is a utility bar, and that’s fine — it’s for guests already staying at All-Star Sports who want a poolside drink without a monorail trek to somewhere fancier. If you’re choosing a destination bar, this isn’t it. If you’re parked at Sports for the night and want a margarita with your feet up, it does the job at a value-resort price.
