L'Artisan des Glaces

L’Artisan des Glaces is a tiny artisan ice cream and sorbet shop tucked into the back streets of EPCOT’s France pavilion, and it’s the kind of place that quietly outclasses every soft-serve window in the park. Everything is made in small batches in the French tradition — a rotating lineup of dense, intensely flavored glaces and bright fruit sorbets, scooped in cups, cones, or pressed into a brioche-style ice cream sandwich. Flavors lean genuinely French (think vanilla, salted caramel, pistachio, coffee, and seasonal fruit sorbets) rather than the candy-bomb flavors you find elsewhere on property.

The footprint is small and there’s no real indoor seating to speak of, so this is a grab-and-stroll stop, not a sit-down destination. What makes it worth the detour is the quality-to-price ratio: for a single-dollar-sign snack, you’re getting legitimately good ice cream plus a couple of adults-only tricks that nobody at the soft-serve cart can offer. It’s also one of the few cool-down spots clustered near Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, so it fits neatly into a France pavilion loop.

Where it falls short is throughput and space — the window can back up on hot afternoons and crowded festival days, and there’s nowhere comfortable to park yourself. Come for the product, not the ambiance, and you’ll leave very happy.
