Teppan Edo
Teppan Edo is EPCOT Japan’s communal teppanyaki room: you sit around a flat-top grill while the chef handles the onion volcano, knife work, shrimp tosses, and the whole dinner-as-a-show routine. It is polished, friendly, and very easy to understand, which is exactly why it works so well for mixed groups who want Japanese flavors without asking picky eaters to be brave.
The food is straightforward hibachi: steak, chicken, shrimp, scallops, vegetables, rice, noodles, sauces, and a little theater. It is not the most adventurous Japanese meal in the pavilion, and serious sushi or omakase people should look elsewhere, but Teppan Edo earns its place because the experience is lively, reliable, and genuinely fun after a long EPCOT day.
The room is upstairs in the Mitsukoshi building, above the big Japan Pavilion shop. That catches first-timers all the time: you are not lost if you are standing among snacks, plush, and housewares. Head inside and look for the stairs or elevator up to the restaurants.
SupaPark’s take: Teppan Edo is for the group that wants dinner to entertain the table, not just feed it. Great for kids, grandparents, and first-timers; less essential if you have a great neighborhood hibachi spot back home.
