Allegiant and Sun Country Shift to MCO Terminal A

Published October 28, 2026

Allegiant Air and Sun Country Airlines are moving their Orlando International Airport operations from Terminal B to Terminal A, with the switch taking effect Thursday, October 29, according to reports published Wednesday, October 28. In Terminal A, check-in moves to level 3 and baggage claim to level 2.

As of Wednesday, October 28, both carriers were still operating out of Terminal B, so flights departing or arriving before the switch date are unaffected.

The change was reported by press coverage rather than announced by Disney, which has no role in airline terminal assignments at MCO. Orlando International Airport and the two airlines handle their own gate and terminal arrangements.

What we know

What’s not confirmed

The coverage available does not state whether the move is permanent or temporary, whether other airlines are also shifting terminals, or how long the transition period runs. No end date or further carrier changes were included.

What it means for your trip

If you fly Allegiant or Sun Country into Orlando on or after Thursday, October 29, arrive at Terminal A for check-in on level 3 — not the Terminal B counters you may have used on a previous trip. Boarding passes and airline apps are the authority here; printed itineraries booked weeks ago may still show the old terminal.

On arrival, head to level 2 in Terminal A for bags. Terminal A and Terminal B sit in the same main terminal complex and are connected, so a wrong guess is a walk rather than a missed flight, but it costs you time on a departure day when you are already watching the clock.

Build in a buffer on your return. If your group is leaving straight from a park morning, treat the terminal change as a reason to leave the resort 20 to 30 minutes earlier than your usual plan, especially on a Sunday or Monday departure when MCO security lines run long.

Guests using Disney resort transportation or a rideshare should confirm the drop-off terminal with the driver rather than assuming last trip’s curb. Rideshare pickups and drop-offs are terminal-specific at MCO, and Terminal A and B have separate curbside levels.
