Animal Kingdom Nov 11–15, 2026: Best Day and Best Times
Published October 29, 2026
Animal Kingdom is the lightest park at Walt Disney World for Nov 11–15, 2026. SupaPark’s crowd forecast (as of Oct 29) has it averaging 2.4/10, with the week’s peak at only 4/10 on Saturday, Nov 14. EPCOT, by comparison, averages 6.6/10 and climbs to 8/10 that same Saturday.
The number to plan around is this one: SupaPark’s wait data shows Kilimanjaro Safaris at a 10-minute median at 3 PM versus 55 minutes at 10 AM over the last 30 days (Sep 30–Oct 28). That’s the recent daily pattern, not a measurement of mid-November. Still, the gap is big enough to change how you order your day, and on a light week the order of your day matters more than whether you pay to skip lines.
The Shape of an Animal Kingdom Day
Across Animal Kingdom’s five busiest rides, SupaPark measured a median posted wait of:
- 28 min at 9 AM
- 40 min at 11 AM (the daily high)
- 30 min at 2 PM
- 15 min at 5 PM
- 10 min at 6 PM (the daily low)
This park doesn’t follow the usual pattern where waits climb all day. Waits peak late in the morning, then drop off sharply through the afternoon. Most guests arrive early, do the big rides, and either leave or slow down after lunch. You can use that to your advantage. The worst thing you can do here is spend 10 AM to noon waiting in the longest lines of the day.
Ride the Safari in the Afternoon
The usual advice is to ride Kilimanjaro Safaris first thing because the animals are more active when it’s cool. That’s partly true, since animal activity does change through the day. But 10 AM is the worst time to be in that line (55 minutes), and 3 PM is close to a walk-on (10 minutes).
Mid-November afternoons in Central Florida are usually much milder than summer ones, which makes a later Safari easier to justify. Here’s what I’d do:
- Want the shortest wait? Ride at 3 PM.
- Want morning animals? Ride right at opening, not at 10 AM. If you’re not there early, the afternoon beats the late morning.
Do Pandora First, and Start With the Boat
Na’vi River Journey shows the morning pattern most clearly: 15 minutes at 8 AM vs 45 minutes at 11 AM, according to SupaPark’s recent data. The wait triples by late morning, so if Flight of Passage isn’t your first ride, Na’vi should be.
Avatar Flight of Passage is a Lightning Lane Single Pass ride, bought separately from Multi Pass. The rope-drop plan is to pick one of the two Pandora rides for your first move:
- On-site with Early Theme Park Entry: use the head start on Flight of Passage, then walk over to Na’vi River Journey while its line is still short.
- Off-site, or the Single Pass fits your budget: buy Flight of Passage, then go straight to Na’vi River Journey at opening.
If you miss both early windows, save Pandora for the evening. The park-wide median falls to 10 minutes at 6 PM, partly because many guests have already left as closing nears. Check that day’s park hours on supapark.com first. If the park is open past dark, Pandora at night is worth the wait. If it closes around sunset, head to Pandora in that 5–6 PM window instead.
Which Day to Pick
All five days are light, so this is about fine-tuning:
- Nov 11–13 (Wed–Fri): the week’s forecast peak isn’t on any of these days, and the whole week averages 2.4/10. Any of them works well.
- Nov 14 (Sat): the forecast peak at 4/10. That’s still mild, but it’s the day I’d avoid if your dates are flexible.
- Nov 15 (Sun): a solid choice that should still be light.
The bigger factor is the rest of your week. Magic Kingdom hosts Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party on Nov 12, 13 and 15, and the park closes early to day guests on those nights. Those evenings are a good fit for Animal Kingdom. It’s already your lightest park, so a full Animal Kingdom day on a party date avoids a shortened Magic Kingdom day. Save Magic Kingdom for Nov 11 or Nov 14, when it isn’t closing early for the party. Avoid EPCOT on Saturday Nov 14 if you can, since it’s forecast at 8/10.
Is Multi Pass Worth It at Animal Kingdom This Week?
For most groups, probably not. When the park averages 2.4/10 and the busiest hour of the day runs about 40 minutes, a smart ride order replaces most of what Multi Pass would buy you. Pandora early, Safari at 3 PM, and everything else in the quiet late afternoon covers it.
The exceptions:
- You’re arriving mid-morning and walking into the 11 AM peak. In that case Multi Pass selections for Na’vi River Journey and the Safari can save real time.
- Flight of Passage is the must-do and you can’t be there at opening. The Single Pass is the reliable way on.
If you’re buying Multi Pass for your trip anyway, book your selections in advance (on-site guests can start 7 days before arrival, off-site guests 3 days before, at 7:00 AM Eastern). Spend the strongest selections on your busier park days, like EPCOT on Saturday, rather than on Animal Kingdom.
Don’t Park-Hop Out Early Without Thinking
Animal Kingdom sits far from the other parks and is served mainly by buses, so hopping out costs real travel time. Leaving after lunch also means skipping the park’s best hours. Those 5–6 PM medians of 10–15 minutes are when you can catch up on everything you skipped. If you do hop, do it after you’ve used that late-afternoon window, not before.
Let the Data Watch the Lines for You
The afternoon plan works best when you know exactly when the Safari line drops. On supapark.com, the best-time forecaster and live waits show how each ride is trending. You can also set a wait-drop watch so you get an alert when Kilimanjaro Safaris falls to a short line, instead of checking your phone all afternoon. On the free plan that alert comes by email. Silver and Gold send it as an instant push, which is better for a 3 PM Safari window. If plans change, Drop Watch can catch a dinner reservation that opens up from a cancellation, and you book it yourself in My Disney Experience.
The Takeaway
Animal Kingdom is the easiest park to tour this week. The main mistake to avoid is ordering your day like everyone else. Ride Pandora at opening, skip the 10 AM Safari line, ride it around 3 PM, and use the near-empty early evening for repeats. Pick Nov 12, 13 or 15 to avoid Magic Kingdom’s early party closings, and hold off on Multi Pass here unless you’re arriving late.
Frequently Asked Questions
How crowded will Animal Kingdom be Nov 11–15, 2026?
Very light. As of Oct 29, SupaPark forecasts an average of 2.4/10 for those five days, the lowest of the four parks, with a peak of just 4/10 on Saturday, Nov 14.
What’s the best time to ride Kilimanjaro Safaris?
Based on SupaPark’s last 30 days of wait data, 3 PM is the sweet spot at a 10-minute median, versus 55 minutes at 10 AM. If you want the morning for animal activity, ride right at opening instead of mid-morning.
Do I need Lightning Lane Multi Pass at Animal Kingdom during this week?
Most groups can skip it, because the busiest hour of the day has recently run about 40 minutes and a good ride order covers the rest. The main exceptions are a mid-morning arrival or wanting a guaranteed Flight of Passage ride, which uses Single Pass.
Which day is best for Animal Kingdom that week?
Nov 12, 13 or 15. Animal Kingdom is light on all of them, and Magic Kingdom closes early to day guests on those dates for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Saturday, Nov 14 is the week’s forecast peak.
