Quick-fire win: Arrive 30 minutes before the park opens, slip through the Rainforest Café side gate, and you’ll be on the first boarding group for Avatar Flight of Passage before the standby line swells past two hours.

Why it matters: The early-entry window (8:00 AM for most resort guests) is the only time the standby queue for Flight of Passage is under 30 minutes. Even a single-pass Lightning Lane bought 7 days in advance still lands you behind the early-entry crowd, so the real edge is getting inside the park first.

1. Coffee, a quick bite, and a 5-minute head start

Mobile-order a coffee at Creature Comforts (or Kona Café) the second the park opens. The pickup window is usually under 5 minutes before the main crowds hit the counter.
Grab a fast-service breakfast at Flame Tree Barbecue while the line is still under 10 minutes. A protein-rich bite fuels the 45-minute trek to Pandora and keeps you sharp for the next reservation.
Set a 7:30 AM alarm and be at the Pandora gate by 8:05 AM. Those extra minutes shave roughly 15 minutes off the Flight of Passage standby wait and give you a buffer to lock in a Lightning Lane for Kilimanjaro Safaris.

2. Front-load Pandora, then lock in the safari

Rope-drop straight to Pandora – Skip Main Street and head for the side entrance. The first tram departs at 8:10 AM; board it and you’ll be on Flight of Passage by 8:20 AM.
Secure a Lightning Lane for Kilimanjaro (single-pass) at 8:30 AM via the My Disney Experience app. The system opens reservations at 7:00 AM for resort guests, and the earliest slot (9:00 AM) guarantees you’ll see the most active herd before the lunch-time heat.
Loop back to Na’vi River Journey after the ride. With the standby line still under 15 minutes, you can squeeze in the second Pandora experience before the park’s midday surge.

3. Afternoon freedom for shows and a second Pandora run

By 12:30 PM you’ll have cleared the two marquee attractions. That opens up the afternoon for:

Festival of the Lion King (reserve a Lightning Lane-style Lightning Lane at 10 AM for the 1:00 PM show).
A second Pandora loop (use the standby line, now averaging 20-30 minutes, or grab a late-day Lightning Lane if you have extra Lightning Lane Multi Pass credits).
Dinner at Satu’li Canteen – Mobile-order the “Protein Bowl” with extra sauce; the line stays under 10 minutes well into the evening.
