The Real Strategy for Getting Be Our Guest
Published July 21, 2026 · Updated September 30, 2026
Be Our Guest is not the restaurant to casually “check later.” If eating inside Beast’s Castle matters to your family, treat it like a headliner: be ready at the exact dining window, have backup times in mind, and do not quit after the first sold-out screen.
The smart move is simple: try at 60 days out at 6:00 AM Eastern in My Disney Experience. If you are staying at a Disney resort, use the advantage that matters most here: you can book dining for your trip from the start of your window, which often makes later vacation days easier to grab than arrival day.
And if you miss? That is where most guests make the bigger mistake. Be Our Guest reservations move around constantly as people change park plans, cancel duplicate meals, or rethink the cost. Your best shot may come from a cancellation, not the first booking drop.
Book 60 Days Out, Not “Sometime That Morning”
Advance Dining Reservations at Walt Disney World open 60 days before arrival at 6:00 AM Eastern in My Disney Experience. That clock matters.
This is not the same as Lightning Lane Multi Pass, which opens at 7:00 AM Eastern on your eligible booking day. Dining is earlier. If you roll in at 7:00 thinking you are on time, the most competitive Be Our Guest times may already be gone.
Here is the move:
- Be logged into My Disney Experience before 6:00 AM Eastern.
- Search for your exact party size first.
- Take a usable time before hunting for the perfect one.
- Check multiple meal windows instead of only dinner.
- If you are onsite, look later in your trip first.
That last point is the quiet edge. Disney resort guests can book dining for multiple days of their stay when their window opens, so restaurants that look impossible on day one of a trip can be more realistic on day four, five, or six.
Later Trip Days Are Your Best Friend
If Be Our Guest is a priority, do not automatically plan it for your Magic Kingdom arrival day. That is usually the hardest version of the reservation to get because more people have access to that same date.
A better plan is to place your Be Our Guest meal on a later Magic Kingdom day, especially if you are staying onsite. You are reaching further into your trip while many offsite guests can only see a shorter booking window.
That does not guarantee a table, but it improves your position. For a high-demand restaurant, every bit of timing leverage matters.
If your schedule is flexible, build your park plan around the reservation instead of forcing the reservation into one narrow slot. Magic Kingdom is usually easier to revisit than a one-night-only dining plan is to recover.
Do Not Refresh Manually All Week
The first sold-out screen is not the end. It is just the first filter.
Be Our Guest gets cancellations because guests overbook, change park days, decide the meal is not worth the time, or swap to another table. The problem is that those openings can disappear quickly.
That is where SupaPark’s dining Drop Watch is useful. Set an alert at supapark.com for Be Our Guest, your date, and your party size. SupaPark watches for availability and pings you when a matching table opens. You still book directly in My Disney Experience, but you are not glued to your phone refreshing over and over.
This is exactly the kind of reservation where alerts beat willpower. You are competing against other planners, and speed matters.
Be Honest About Why You Want It
Be Our Guest is really two things: a themed experience and a table-service meal inside Magic Kingdom.
If the castle setting is the point, book it. The restaurant’s biggest draw is the chance to eat inside Beast’s Castle, and for Beauty and the Beast fans, that can be worth rearranging a day around.
If you only want “a good Magic Kingdom meal,” be more selective. Magic Kingdom has other table-service options, and nearby resorts can be easier, calmer, and sometimes a better fit depending on your group. The right answer depends on whether your family values atmosphere, convenience, food, or price sensitivity most.
For many families, Be Our Guest is a one-time splurge, not an every-trip must-do. That is not a knock. It just means you should book it because the setting matters to your group, not because you feel like you are supposed to.
Families Should Prep Before They Sit Down
If you are bringing kids, preview the menu in My Disney Experience before the trip. Do not discover at the table that your picky eater has nothing they are excited about.
That five-minute check can save the meal. Let kids identify what they would actually eat, and if the menu looks like a battle, pivot before you spend one of your hardest reservations on a stressful dinner.
For toddlers or infants, tell the Cast Member at the podium right away if you need a high-chair, booster, or room to manage a stroller handoff. Be Our Guest is used to families, but giving the seating team that information early can make seating smoother.
Also, avoid stacking Be Our Guest too tightly against a must-do ride window. A table-service meal is not a snack stop. Leave breathing room before and after, especially if you are juggling Lightning Lane return times, parade crowds, or a tired kid who needs a reset.
What If You Strike Out Completely?
Do not let one restaurant wreck your Magic Kingdom plan.
Your backup strategy should be ready before booking day:
- Try a different meal time.
- Move Be Our Guest to a later Magic Kingdom day.
- Use Drop Watch for cancellations.
- Keep a nearby resort meal as a calmer fallback.
- Consider whether the castle setting is worth reshuffling your day.
The worst move is burning park time repeatedly checking availability while standing in Magic Kingdom. If the table opens, great. If it does not, your day still needs to work.
The One Thing To Remember
If Be Our Guest is a must-do, book at 60 days out at 6:00 AM Eastern, target later trip dates when possible, and set a SupaPark Drop Watch alert for cancellations. The guests who land this reservation are not always luckier. They are usually faster, more flexible, and less willing to give up after the first “no times available” screen.
