Deputies Respond to Two Battery Calls at Disney World
Published November 3, 2026
Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to two separate reported battery incidents at Walt Disney World on the night of Monday, November 2, 2026, according to reports describing law enforcement scanner logs. The two calls came in less than two hours apart, the first logged at 9:21 p.m. from the Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Contemporary Resort area.
As of Tuesday, November 3, My Disney Experience shows no operational disruptions at Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Contemporary Resort, or Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside tied to the calls.
The second call, also logged as a battery, came in at 11:14 p.m. and sent deputies to Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside, per the same scanner reporting.
The mapped coordinates attached to both logs are imprecise. The first pinpoints a stretch of World Drive between Magic Kingdom and the Contemporary — but Central Florida law enforcement routinely logs calls in that corridor to a generalized address, so the actual origin could have been inside the park, inside the resort, or in between. Magic Kingdom closed at 10:00 p.m. Monday, which leaves an in-park incident on the table. The Port Orleans – Riverside location carries the same caveat.
What we know
- Magic Kingdom / Disney’s Contemporary Resort area — battery call logged 9:21 p.m., Monday, November 2, 2026
- Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside — battery call logged 11:14 p.m., Monday, November 2, 2026
- Both calls logged by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office under battery (unwanted touching or striking)
- My Disney Experience showed no related closures or disruptions at any of the three locations as of Tuesday, November 3
What’s not confirmed
Disney has not issued a statement on either incident. It has not been confirmed whether the two calls were connected, whether those involved were guests or Cast Members, or whether anyone was injured. No arrests or charges have been announced. Further detail would come from Orange County Sheriff’s Office reports or from charges, if any are filed.
What it means for your trip
Nothing about your plan needs to change. Both locations were operating normally as of Tuesday, November 3, and no ride, restaurant, or resort amenity closed as a result.
- If you have a Magic Kingdom day booked this week, keep your 7:00 AM Lightning Lane Multi Pass selections and your 6:00 AM Advance Dining Reservations windows exactly as planned — neither call affected park hours or capacity.
- Staying at Port Orleans – Riverside? Bus service, dining, and pool access are unaffected. If you want extra peace of mind on a late night, the resort’s front desk and Disney security are reachable from the My Disney Experience app’s resort chat.
- Late-night park exits are the one place to be a little deliberate: Magic Kingdom’s post-close crowd crush through Main Street and onto the buses and monorail is the densest moment of the day. Letting it thin for 15 minutes, or walking to the Contemporary instead, is the smoother move with small kids in tow.
- If a real closure ever does hit a ride you were counting on, SupaPark’s live operational status flags it the moment it goes down, so you can pivot instead of walking across the park to find out.
