Diamond Horseshoe Reopens October 4 as Pop-Up Bar
Published August 31, 2026 · Updated September 30, 2026
The Diamond Horseshoe, the saloon-style restaurant in Magic Kingdom’s Frontierland area, will reopen on October 4, 2026, as a limited-time pop-up serving shareable small plates and drinks, according to reports published Monday, August 31, 2026. Reservations are reported to open September 29, with walk-ups also accepted.
As of Monday, August 31, the location is closed. Disney paused table-service dining there in May 2026 — including the limited-time “Jessie’s Roundup” — before shutting the doors entirely.
This is a change of concept, not a demolition. Reports say the family-style meals that operated as an overflow extension of Liberty Tree Tavern are not coming back; the reopened venue is built around smaller dishes, specialty non-alcoholic drinks, cocktails, wine, and beer.
The reported small-plate lineup includes a charcuterie board with cured beef, candied bacon, smoked pork, green chile cheese, smoked cheddar and pickles; glazed sticky ribs with cowboy beans and jalapeño crisps; queso fundido with barbecue burnt ends and warm tortilla chips; golden corn fritters with cilantro ranch and red chili honey; a chipotle chicken tostada with queso fresco, lime crema and pickled cactus salsa; and a mini hot dog platter in pastry.
Four specialty non-alcoholic drinks are also reported: an Orange Cream Soda made with Fanta Orange, vanilla and cream; Caramel Root Beer with Sweet Cream; Enchanting Ember Lemonade; and Enchanted Grove Lime Splash.

What’s not confirmed
This comes from press coverage, not an official Disney statement. Disney has not confirmed the reopening date, the reservation open date, pricing, operating hours, how long the limited-time run lasts, or what happens to the space afterward. Nothing in the coverage ties this specific change to a permanent Frontierland plan.
What it means for your trip
If you’re visiting Magic Kingdom in October, treat this as a drinks-and-snacks stop, not a meal — a party of four splitting charcuterie and ribs is a mid-afternoon break, not lunch. Keep Liberty Tree Tavern or another full table service on the books if you wanted a sit-down meal in that corner of the park.
A reported September 29 reservation open date on a small, buzzy, limited-time venue means the first wave of prime evening times will likely move fast. Book early in the window if the date matters, then plan to walk up mid-afternoon on a weekday — that’s usually the softest stretch for a lounge-style spot.
