Where to Sit at Garden Grill for the Ultimate Living with the Land View

Live now: Living with the Land wait & status
EPCOT’s Garden Grill is one of the hardest dining reservations to score for good reason: it’s an all-you-care-to-enjoy character meal that slowly rotates above the Living with the Land attraction. But if you’re booking this spot specifically to look down into the ride’s iconic scenes, you need to know that not all tables are created equal.
Here is the insider move to make sure you get the view you’re paying for.
The Best Seats in the House
Garden Grill is designed in two circular tiers. The inner ring (the upper level) features standard tables and chairs. The outer ring (the lower level) is lined with curved, semi-circular booths that face outward toward the attraction.
If you want the best view of the Living with the Land scenes—including the rain forest, the desert, and the famous farmhouse with the dog on the porch—you need a lower-level booth.
Because the lower tier sits right on the edge of the restaurant’s rotation, you get an entirely unobstructed, top-down view of the ride. If you sit on the upper tier, your sightline is partially blocked by the booths and guests below you. You can still see the attraction, but you won’t get that perfect, immersive angle of the farmhouse.
How to Request a Lower-Level Booth
Disney doesn’t let you book a specific table tier in advance, but you can request one when you arrive.
When it’s time for your reservation, you will check in using the My Disney Experience app. The app often asks if you have seating requests. If “Lower Level” is an option, select it. If you don’t see it, or if you prefer checking in with a Cast Member at the host stand, simply ask them nicely: “We would love a lower-level booth to see the ride, and we don’t mind waiting extra time for it.”
The trade-off: Requesting the lower level almost always means waiting an extra 10 to 20 minutes past your reservation time. If you have a Lightning Lane Multi Pass selection to get to, you might just want to take the first available table. But if you have the time, the wait is highly recommended.
The Character Experience
Garden Grill is currently home to Chip ‘n’ Dale’s Harvest Feast. You’ll meet Farmer Mickey, Pluto, and our favorite chipmunks, Chip and Dale. They bring hilarious energy to this restaurant, and because the dining room is relatively small, the character interactions here tend to be much longer and more personal than at massive spots like Chef Mickey’s. The semi-circular booths on the lower level also mean the characters have to come right up to the opening of your table, making for fantastic photos.
Snagging the Reservation
Because of the small footprint and popular characters, Garden Grill books up fast 60 days out. This is exactly where SupaPark comes in.
Instead of refreshing the app all day, set up a SupaPark dining Drop Watch. The moment a family cancels their Garden Grill reservation, SupaPark catches it and pings you instantly. Then, you simply tap the alert and grab the table directly in My Disney Experience. Let the tech do the work while you enjoy your trip.
