I-4 East Crash Blocks 2 Lanes Near Disney Exits
Published October 20, 2026
Florida 511 (FDOT) is reporting a crash on I-4 eastbound in Orange County, Florida, stretching from before MM 67 at SR-536 to before MM 71 at Central Florida Parkway. Two left lanes are blocked, according to the state’s public traffic feed, last updated at 3:13 PM ET.
As of Tuesday, October 20 at 3:15 PM ET, the incident was still listed as active. SupaPark’s tracking first logged it at 3:00 PM ET.
That stretch matters for park traffic. I-4 between the ChampionsGate and Kirkman Road exits is the main route from the Orlando hotel corridors and the airport to the Walt Disney World exits — Exit 62 World Drive, Exit 64 US-192, Exit 65 Osceola Parkway, Exit 67 EPCOT Center Drive / SR-536 and Exit 68 SR-535 Lake Buena Vista.
The blocked lanes sit right at the eastbound approach to the SR-536 exit, which is the standard eastbound exit for EPCOT and for the Lake Buena Vista hotel cluster just past it.

What’s not confirmed
Florida 511 does not state a cause, any injuries, how many vehicles are involved, or an estimated clearing time, and no full closure is reported — only the two left lanes. Disney has said nothing about this incident, and nothing in the state feed indicates any impact on park hours or operations.
What it means for your trip
If you are driving eastbound toward Exit 67 for EPCOT or toward Exit 68 for Lake Buena Vista this afternoon, the left lanes are the problem — stay right well before MM 67 rather than merging late, since the backup builds behind blocked left lanes and into the exit approach.
Guests heading to Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom or the Hollywood Studios side can exit earlier at 64 (US-192) or 65 (Osceola Parkway) and reach World Drive from the south, avoiding the blocked segment entirely.
Airport arrivals on I-4 East face the same squeeze, so build extra buffer if you have a late-afternoon Advance Dining Reservation or an evening table at a Disney Springs or resort restaurant — a missed window is harder to replace than a delayed arrival. If your reservation does fall through, a SupaPark dining Drop Watch pings you the moment a cancellation frees the table back up, and you rebook it in My Disney Experience.
Resort-bus and Minnie Van riders staying on-property are not on this stretch of I-4, so internal transportation between resorts and parks is unaffected.
