Pluto's Pumpkin Pursuit Returns to EPCOT for 2026
Published October 12, 2026
Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit, the seasonal scavenger hunt at EPCOT, is running again this fall, with twelve character pumpkins hidden around the park through November 2, 2026, according to reports. The game board costs $11.99 plus tax, and each board earns one prize whether or not a guest finds all twelve pumpkins.
As of Monday, October 12, 2026, the hunt is reported to be open, having started September 25. Disney notes that the activity — including dates and pricing — is subject to change or cancellation without notice, and it runs while supplies last.
The format is the same one the hunt has used since its 2022 debut: guests buy a game board, walk EPCOT looking for decorative pumpkins painted as Disney characters, and add a matching sticker for each find. The board’s cover art shows Pluto in a mummy wrap and doubles as the map of the twelve search locations.
The twelve pumpkins are spread across shops, restaurants, attractions, and landscaped planting beds. Two are indoors — Mickey at Disney Traders and Minnie at Port of Entry — and the other ten are outside. Several sit above eye level, including Pluto, Olaf, and Daisy on a roofline, a rooftop, and a ledge; the Chip ‘n’ Dale pumpkin is reported as the toughest find, tucked into bromeliads that hide most of it from the walkway.
This year’s prizes are small fabric trick-or-treat bags with a handle and a character face, reportedly in five designs: Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Stitch, and Goofy. That’s a change from 2024, when boards earned small sippers. Pricing has climbed from $9.99 at the 2022 debut and in 2024 to $11.99 in 2025, holding at $11.99 for 2026 — though this year’s start date, September 25, is later than 2025’s September 2 opening. Eleven of the twelve characters carry over from 2024, with Donald replacing Joy.
What we know
- Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit (EPCOT) — reported open since September 25, 2026, running through November 2, 2026, while supplies last
- Game board — $11.99 plus tax; one prize per board, completed or not
- Twelve character pumpkins — ten outdoors, two indoors (Mickey at Disney Traders, Minnie at Port of Entry)
- Prizes — small character trick-or-treat bags in five reported designs: Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Stitch, Goofy
- Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak — a separate World Showcase hunt running the full festival
What’s not confirmed
Disney has not issued its own statement on the 2026 prize lineup; the five bag designs come from reports of a display case, not an official list. The coverage also does not state where boards are sold or where prizes are redeemed this year, and it does not confirm whether supplies will last through November 2.
What it means for your trip
- If your EPCOT day falls after mid-October, buy the board early in the day — the “while supplies last” language means late-October and early-November visits carry the most risk of boards or prize bags running out before November 2.
- Budget $11.99 plus tax per board, not per kid, if your group is fine sharing one hunt. Each board earns exactly one prize, so a family that wants one bag per child needs one board per child.
- Don’t build a park day around finishing it. Two of the twelve are inside shops and several are above eye level, so the hunt works best layered onto an EPCOT day you’re already spending — between dining stops or while waiting out an afternoon crowd peak.
- Doing both hunts in one day is realistic but front-load the pumpkin one: Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak is concentrated in World Showcase and runs the full festival, while this one ends November 2.
