Spaceship Earth Main Queue Entrance Closed by Leak

Live now: Spaceship Earth wait & status
Spaceship Earth at EPCOT has closed its main queue entrance and is routing guests to a side entrance on the west side of the building because of leaking, according to reports published Thursday, October 15, 2026. The attraction itself is still operating — only the way you get into the line has changed.
As of Thursday, October 15, the main entrance to the queue is blocked off with stanchions, with a Cast Member posted there sending guests to the right of the building.
Reports describe the cause simply as leaking. No detail on the source or extent has been reported.
There is no reported timeline for when the normal entrance reopens.
What we know
SupaPark’s wait history shows Spaceship Earth typically running well under 20 minutes outside the rush right after park open, and an entrance reroute doesn’t change how fast the omnimover loads. Our live wait board is the quickest check on whether it’s still posting those normal numbers today, and our ride-status alerts will catch it if the leaking turns into a closure.
What’s not confirmed
Disney has not announced the closure of the main entrance, the cause of the leaking, how long the reroute will last, or whether any repair work will affect the attraction’s operating hours. Everything above comes from reports, not an official statement.
What it means for your trip
- Walk to the right (west) side of the Spaceship Earth ball rather than the main ramp under the geosphere — if you head for the usual entrance you’ll be turned around and lose a few minutes.
- If you’re using Lightning Lane Multi Pass for Spaceship Earth, build a few extra minutes into the front of your return window — reports do not say whether the Lightning Lane entrance has moved too, and a single Cast Member funneling both lines can slow entry.
- Rope-drop plans don’t need to change. Spaceship Earth is a continuously loading omnimover, and SupaPark’s wait history shows it typically posting well under 20 minutes outside the first hour after park open, so save it for an afternoon break or the last hour before park close and spend early morning on Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Test Track, or Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure instead.
- An entrance issue tied to leaking can turn into a same-day ride closure without notice. SupaPark flags the moment a ride goes down and when it comes back — free by email, instantly by push on Silver and Gold — so you can pivot to Soarin’ or Living with the Land instead of walking across World Celebration to a closed queue.
