Vacation Fun Set to Return at Hollywood Studios Sept. 27

According to reports, Disney has Vacation Fun scheduled to return on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The Mickey Shorts Theater show has been unavailable since early August while the space is used for Kermit the Frog Annual Passholder magnet distribution, which runs through September 24.
As of Tuesday, September 8, the attraction is still listed as unavailable before September 27. The reported return comes from Disney’s operating schedule, not a separate public announcement about a refurbishment or permanent change.
Vacation Fun stopped showing in early August because Disney temporarily repurposed Mickey Shorts Theater for an Annual Passholder offering. The Kermit the Frog magnet distribution began August 11 and is scheduled to continue through September 24 for eligible Walt Disney World Annual Passholders.
This does not appear to be a major attraction overhaul. According to reports, the theater has been used for temporary events before, including a May the 4th merchandise event during portions of April and May 2026.
Vacation Fun is an indoor Mickey and Minnie Mouse short-film experience at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Its return adds back a low-pressure, air-conditioned stop in a park where many guests spend the day bouncing between bigger, higher-demand attractions.
