Animal Kingdom’s Later November 15 Start: What to Know

Published November 1, 2026

Disney moved Animal Kingdom’s scheduled opening for Sunday, November 15, 2026, to a later start, according to reports published Thursday, October 29. As of Sunday, November 1, the reported schedule lists regular hours of 9 a.m.–6 p.m., leaving nine hours of regular park access rather than ten.

Early Theme Park Entry also shifts by an hour, with an 8:30 a.m. start instead of 7:30 a.m. Eligible guests retain the half-hour head start, but their morning begins later too.

The neighboring Saturday offers a substantially longer visit: Animal Kingdom is listed for 8 a.m.–8 p.m. on November 14. That is three more hours than Sunday’s schedule, combining an earlier opening with a later closing.

The following Sunday, November 22, is listed with an 8 a.m. opening. According to reports, November 15 is the only date showing the later opening on the published calendar extending into early 2027.

What we know

What’s not confirmed

Disney has not publicly explained the November 15 adjustment. No specific morning event is identified on the calendar, and Disney has not confirmed whether the later opening reflects an operational decision or a scheduling error. The listed hours could still change before November 15.

What it means for your trip

If your dates are interchangeable and you want more time for Pandora – The World of Avatar, animal habitats and entertainment, consider November 14 instead of November 15. Its listed schedule gives you three additional hours, although longer hours alone do not establish that waits will be shorter.

If you are keeping November 15, build your itinerary around nine regular operating hours and choose your highest priorities before filling the remaining time. Do not carry over an 8 a.m. opening assumption from another Animal Kingdom day.

For eligible Early Theme Park Entry guests, use 8:30 a.m. as the reported entry start when arranging your morning transportation. Recheck Disney’s operating calendar before finalizing departure times, because the November 15 listing may still be revised.
