EPCOT Crowds Nov 21–29, 2026: Forecast (Thanksgiving)
Published October 29, 2026
EPCOT is forecast to be the busiest Walt Disney World park from Nov 21 to 29, 2026. As of Oct 29, 2026, SupaPark’s crowd forecast puts it at an average of 7.1/10 for those nine days. Wednesday, Nov 25 is the lightest day (5/10). Sunday, Nov 29 is the worst (10/10). If EPCOT is on your list for Thanksgiving week, go on Wednesday, skip Sunday, and be inside the gate early. At EPCOT, the morning is where you win time back.
The one number that should change your plan
SupaPark’s wait data for the last 30 days (Sep 30 to Oct 28) shows the median posted wait across EPCOT’s five busiest rides at 30 minutes at 8 AM and 63 minutes at 4 PM. That’s more than double in eight hours. That data shows the park’s recent daily pattern. It wasn’t measured during Thanksgiving week, and holiday crowds will push every number higher. The shape of the day is the useful part, and it’s consistent:
- 9 AM: 45 min
- 11 AM: 53 min
- 2 PM: 55 min
- 5 PM: 60 min
- 8 PM: 45 min
EPCOT’s evening doesn’t empty out the way other parks do. Hollywood Studios fell to 33 minutes by 8 PM over the same period, but EPCOT stayed at 45. Park hoppers, dinner crowds and nighttime-show crowds keep EPCOT busy late. Don’t count on a quiet evening here. The first hour is the only reliably easy stretch.
The headliners show the same thing even more clearly (same 30 days, median posted wait):
- Test Track: 30 min at 8 AM vs 75 min at 3 PM
- Frozen Ever After: 20 min at 8 AM vs 65 min at 1 PM
Day by day: where EPCOT fits in your week
Thanksgiving falls on Thursday, Nov 26 this year. Here’s how SupaPark’s forecast lays out the week across the four parks:
| Park | Avg crowd Nov 21–29 | Peak |
|---|---|---|
| EPCOT | 7.1/10 | 10/10 on Nov 29 |
| Hollywood Studios | 5.1/10 | 10/10 on Nov 29 |
| Magic Kingdom | 3.7/10 | 8/10 on Nov 29 |
| Animal Kingdom | 3.0/10 | 8/10 on Nov 29 |
Three takeaways:
1. Wednesday, Nov 25 is your EPCOT day. At a forecast 5/10, it’s the calmest day of the week at the park that’s busiest the rest of the time. Plan World Showcase, the headliners and any festival snacking for that day.
2. Sunday, Nov 29 is busy everywhere. Every park peaks that day, and EPCOT and Hollywood Studios both hit 10/10. Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom only reach 8/10, but Magic Kingdom also closes early to day guests that night for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. That leaves Animal Kingdom as the best choice for Sunday. SupaPark’s 30-day data shows Kilimanjaro Safaris at a 10-minute median at 3 PM vs 54 minutes at 10 AM, so a late start there works well. A pool day is also a perfectly good option.
3. Watch the Magic Kingdom party nights. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party runs on Nov 24, 25, 27 and 29, and Magic Kingdom closes early to day guests on those dates. Party days at Magic Kingdom are often calmer during the day because some guests avoid them. If you’re park hopping that evening, though, expect day guests leaving Magic Kingdom to fill the other parks.
The EPCOT morning plan
At 8 AM, Frozen Ever After’s median wait was 20 minutes. By 1 PM it was 65. Your first two hours set the tone for the whole day.
- Staying on-site? Use Early Theme Park Entry. Not every attraction runs during that window, and rides can open late because of technical issues, so check what’s operating and have a backup ride ready.
- Staying at the BoardWalk, Beach Club, Yacht Club or Swan and Dolphin? Walk in through the International Gateway, which puts you right at France. You can ride Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure early while most of the crowd is still at the main entrance near Spaceship Earth. Then cut across to Norway for Frozen before the wait grows.
- Coming in the main entrance? Head for Test Track or Frozen first, whichever matters more to your group, and save the other for a Lightning Lane.
While you’re in France, look for the hidden ‘little chef’ details tucked around the Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure area. It’s a fun find for kids during a slow moment.
Lightning Lane: book it ahead, not the morning of
On a 7/10 to 10/10 week, Lightning Lane Multi Pass is worth more than usual. The key is booking in advance. On-site guests can make selections starting 7 days before arrival and off-site guests 3 days before, both at 7:00 AM Eastern. Make your first selections, then add the next one in My Disney Experience each time you use one.
The smart setup at EPCOT: ride the morning headliner without a Lightning Lane and point your Multi Pass selections at the afternoon, when Test Track reaches its 75-minute peak around 3 PM. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is EPCOT’s Single Pass ride and is sold separately. Prices change by date, so check before you commit. If Cosmic Rewind is a must for your group, decide early in the week. Waiting tends to leave you fewer return times on a busy holiday week.
SupaPark’s refill predictions and live alerts help here. When a better Lightning Lane return time opens up, you get a ping and then switch it yourself in My Disney Experience.
Dining: the cancellation game
Advance Dining Reservations open 60 days out at 6:00 AM Eastern, so the first booking window for these dates has already passed. If you missed the EPCOT table you wanted, cancellations are now your best chance. Plans often change in the final days before a holiday trip. SupaPark’s Drop Watch watches for that table and alerts you as soon as it opens. You still book it yourself in My Disney Experience. Drop Watch alerts come by email on the free plan and by push on Silver and Gold.
Two dining tips for a crowded EPCOT:
- Eat during the peak, not before it. In SupaPark’s recent data, Frozen Ever After peaks at 65 min around 1 PM and Test Track at 75 min around 3 PM. Book a sit-down lunch between 1 and 3 PM so you spend those hours at a table instead of in a queue.
- Don’t build the whole day around festival booths. If a seasonal festival is running during your visit, its booths can draw long lines on peak days, so check EPCOT’s festival dates before you go. Graze on Wednesday, Nov 25, when the park is lighter.
Practical notes for late November
- The sun is stronger than it feels. Florida in late November can be warm and bright, so reapply sunscreen, especially on the long walk around World Showcase.
- Bring a poncho. It’s the drier season, but short showers still happen. A light rain shower can also thin the lines a little.
- Check live status before you commit. On a 10/10 day, one ride going down sends its whole line to the rides nearby. SupaPark’s live waits and ride-down alerts tell you before you walk across the park.
The takeaway
EPCOT is the park to plan carefully over Thanksgiving week 2026. Go Wednesday, Nov 25, get there for the first hour, and use your Lightning Lanes in the afternoon. On Sunday, Nov 29, pick Animal Kingdom or take a rest day. For hour-by-hour detail, the crowd calendar and the best-time-to-ride forecast at supapark.com are free. Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best day to visit EPCOT during Thanksgiving week 2026?
Wednesday, Nov 25 is the lightest EPCOT day in SupaPark’s Nov 21–29 forecast, at 5/10. The rest of the week averages 7.1/10.
How crowded will EPCOT be the Sunday after Thanksgiving?
SupaPark forecasts EPCOT at 10/10 on Sunday, Nov 29, the busiest day of the week. Every Disney World park peaks that day, and Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom are forecast lowest at 8/10. Animal Kingdom is the better pick because Magic Kingdom closes early that night for a Christmas party.
What time of day are EPCOT lines shortest?
The first hour of the day. Over Sep 30 to Oct 28, SupaPark measured a 30-minute median across EPCOT’s top rides at 8 AM, which is usually the Early Theme Park Entry window for on-site guests, vs a 63-minute peak at 4 PM. Off-site guests arriving at regular opening saw about 45 minutes at 9 AM. Evenings only dropped to about 45 minutes.
Is Lightning Lane Multi Pass worth it at EPCOT over Thanksgiving?
On a week this busy, it usually is if you use it on the afternoon headliners. Test Track’s median wait reached 75 minutes around 3 PM in SupaPark’s recent data, so book your selections in advance and ride the morning headliners without one.
