Hurly-Burly Opens at Disney's BoardWalk October 1
Published September 1, 2026
Disney has revealed an opening date and menu for Hurly-Burly, the new venue replacing Jellyrolls at Disney’s BoardWalk, according to reports published Tuesday, September 1, 2026. The reported opening date is October 1, 2026.
As of Tuesday, September 1, 2026, Jellyrolls remains permanently closed — the dueling piano bar shut its BoardWalk doors in 2025 after roughly three decades — and reports say the brand is relocating to Lake Buena Vista, outside Disney World property and about ten minutes from its old spot.
Hurly-Burly is themed as a turn-of-the-century seaside theater, with a backstory casting the space as the former home of the BoardWalk’s vaudeville stars, reopened a century later as a tribute act. It sits along the BoardWalk waterfront promenade, walkable from Disney’s BoardWalk Inn and from EPCOT’s International Gateway.
The operating model splits the day: family-friendly trivia during daytime hours, then live music restricted to guests 21 and older starting at 9:00 PM. Reports say the same menu is served all day, across both.
The part planners need to sit with: Hurly-Burly will not take reservations. It is walk-up only, same as Jellyrolls was, with a walk-up window for guests who want the food without staying for the room.
What we know
- Hurly-Burly (Disney’s BoardWalk) — reported opening date October 1, 2026
- Jellyrolls (Disney’s BoardWalk) — permanently closed in 2025; relocating to Lake Buena Vista, off Disney World property
- Reservations — none accepted; walk-ups only, plus a separate walk-up window
- Hours split — family-friendly trivia by day, 21+ live music from 9:00 PM
- Also coming to the BoardWalk — Basin on the BoardWalk (soap and bath shop) and an unnamed quick-service restaurant
What’s not confirmed
Disney did not mention a cover charge in the Hurly-Burly details, and Jellyrolls had one — so whether there is a door fee has not been stated either way. Disney also has not released details for the quick-service restaurant coming to the BoardWalk, and no opening date has been given for Basin on the BoardWalk. Exterior construction was photographed as of August 2026, but Disney has not confirmed the October 1 date in an announcement of its own.
What it means for your trip
If you’re on property in early October, treat Hurly-Burly as a wait, not a plan. A brand-new walk-up-only venue on the BoardWalk in opening week is the definition of a line — arrive well before 9:00 PM if you want the 21+ music set, or use the walk-up window and take the food back to the promenade. Daytime trivia is the low-friction version and the only window that works with kids.
Don’t burn an EPCOT evening on it. The International Gateway walk is short, but leaving the park at 8:30 PM to queue for a room you may not get into costs you a fireworks spot. Better: BoardWalk Inn and Beach Club guests, and anyone with a late EPCOT day, are the natural first-timers here.
And since there’s nothing to book, put your dining-reservation energy elsewhere on the BoardWalk that week — Cake Bake Shop tables move fast, and a SupaPark dining Drop Watch will ping you when a cancellation frees one up so you can grab it in My Disney Experience.
