Citricos Lounge is the open secret tucked just off the dining room at Citricos, the Grand Floridian’s signature Mediterranean-American restaurant. The whole point: it serves the full Citricos menu — same kitchen, same dishes — but it’s first come, first served, no reservation required. When you forgot to book 60 days out and you’re staring down a quick-service burger, this is the escape hatch into one of Disney’s best resort dinners.

The room itself is part of the recent Grand Floridian refresh, carrying a subtle Mary Poppins Returns theme — look up and you’ll spot chandeliers shaped like umbrellas. It’s a more laid-back setup than the formal restaurant: lounge chairs, low coffee tables, big windows, and an open kitchen you can watch in action. There’s also a full bar where you can post up and order the entire menu off a barstool.

The trade-off is the seating. Most of the lounge is cushy low armchairs around coffee tables rather than proper dining height — comfortable, but worth knowing if you’re settling in for a full multi-course meal or have anyone who’d rather sit at a real table. For a relaxed signature dinner or a pre-fireworks bite on the monorail loop, it’s a steal of a workaround.

This is for the planner who didn’t plan — the traveler who wants signature-level food without the 60-day reservation scramble, and who doesn’t mind eating off a coffee table to get it. Couples and small groups win here; it’s a genuinely smart move on a Grand Floridian or monorail-resort evening.
