Il Mulino
Tucked inside Disney’s Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin complex, Il Mulino New York Trattoria is the Marriott-side Italian sleeper that most park-day crowds walk right past — which is exactly why it’s worth your attention. This is the Disney outpost of the famed Greenwich Village restaurant, and it leans into that pedigree: an Abruzzo-rooted menu of handmade pastas, hearty proteins, and a bread service that arrives before you’ve even finished sitting down. The room is dim, energetic, and grown-up — closer to a real city trattoria than a themed Disney dining experience.
What makes it worth a table is the food doing the talking instead of the decor. You’re here for serious arancini, a properly built risotto con funghi, and grilled chops (the costolette di maiale) that punch above what you’d expect a few steps from a convention hotel. The flip side: it sits on Marriott rules, not Disney’s. That means OpenTable, not My Disney Experience, for reservations, and the Disney Dining Plan is a no-go — you’re paying cash or card. Set expectations accordingly and it rarely disappoints.
Because it’s off most guests’ radar, Il Mulino is one of the easier EPCOT-area sit-down standouts to actually get into, especially on an off-park day or at the edges of the dinner rush. If you’re staying at the Swan, Dolphin, or Swan Reserve — or willing to hop over — it’s the resort-area Italian that earns the reservation.
This is for the traveler who wants a genuinely good Italian dinner more than they want characters or theming — couples, foodies, and anyone burned out on park crowds. Skip it if you’re chasing Dining Plan value or want something quick and kid-driven; it shines as a slow, grown-up meal. SupaPark’s take: it’s one of the most underrated tables in the EPCOT resort area, and the fact that nobody talks about it is the whole point.
