Atlantic Dance Hall Closes as Hurly-Burly Opens Oct. 1

Atlantic Dance Hall, the adults-only dance venue that has operated at Disney’s BoardWalk since the resort opened in 1996, held its final weekend of general-public operation on September 25, 26, and 27, 2026, according to reports published Saturday, September 26. The space will reportedly remain available for private event rentals, but its open-to-guests weekend nights are done.

As of Monday, September 28, the replacement is already lined up: a new venue called Hurly-Burly is reported to open at the BoardWalk on October 1, 2026, a few steps from Atlantic Dance Hall.

Hurly-Burly is described as a dual-mode space — a family-friendly trivia venue during the day, switching to an adults-only lounge with live music nightly at 9:00 PM. The menu is reported to be all-day specialty drinks and light bites. Its Imagineered backstory casts it as a once-grand theater from nearly a century ago, neglected for decades and now reopening.

Hurly-Burly takes the space that housed Jellyrolls, the dueling piano bar that ran on the BoardWalk from 1996 to 2025. Jellyrolls was independently owned rather than a Disney operation, and is reportedly opening a new location off Disney property.

A third change is also reported: a shop called Basin on the BoardWalk, selling bath bombs, salts, body butters, lip salves, and shampoo and conditioner bars, with embossing for personalization and make-your-own soap and bath tea options.
