Here is what I’d actually do: skip the transportation mob entirely, take the walking path to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and eat at Gasparilla Island Grill.

The Smart Move

Gasparilla Island Grill is the Grand Floridian’s quick-service restaurant. While many Disney dining locations shut down right as the parks close, Gasparilla serves hot food late into the night. It is the perfect strategic fallback when you need a real meal but do not have an Advance Dining Reservation.

The menu is reliably solid comfort food—think artisanal flatbreads, house-made macaroni and cheese, and hot sandwiches. It beats settling for a standard theme-park burger out of habit when you just want a satisfying end to a 20,000-step day.

The Logistics: Walk, Don’t Ride

Do not wait for the monorail or a resort boat to get there. The walking path between Magic Kingdom and the Grand Floridian takes about 15 minutes. It is well-lit, peaceful, and entirely removes you from the post-fireworks transportation crush.
