Disney Jr. Character Area Reportedly Removed at Hollywood Studios

According to reports, Disney removed the Disney Jr. meet-and-greet area from Commissary Lane at Disney’s Hollywood Studios by Friday, September 18, 2026. As of Saturday, September 19, the Sofia the First and SuperKitties character location is reportedly empty, and its bright Disney Jr. mural has been painted over in blue.

The location sat near ABC Commissary, next to Red Carpet Dreams, and had operated through the summer after debuting in May. Reports say the setup hosted Sofia from Sofia the First and Bitsy from SuperKitties, with the two characters alternating at different times during the day.

The former mural was described as a pink, purple, and orange Disney Jr. design. After the repaint, reports say parts of the earlier bubble design are still visible on the wall, along with marks where a sign had been mounted.

This was a small character footprint, but it mattered because Hollywood Studios has fewer offerings built squarely around preschool-age guests than Disney World’s other parks. The reported removal takes away one of the newer options aimed at kids who actively watch Disney Jr. at home.
