Le Cellier Steakhouse in EPCOT’s Canada pavilion is famous for two things: being incredibly difficult to book, and its signature filet mignon. It is a premium, high-demand restaurant that commands premium prices. But you do not have to blindly order the standard cuts and pay full freight.
There is a smarter way to navigate this menu. If you know what to ask for, you can experience the best dishes here without completely blowing out your dining budget or leaving too full to walk around the World Showcase.

The Filet Mignon Strategy
The Le Cellier Filet Mignon is the anchor of the menu. It is excellent, but it is also one of the priciest items in the park.
If you are dining solo, the standard 7-oz filet is the right move. But if you are dining with a partner or a group, order the 12-oz cut and split it. You end up getting a premium cut of steak for roughly the price of two smaller steaks, making it a much better value per person.
The insider move: When you order the filet, ask your server to cook it medium-rare and finish it on the grill. This adds a layer of char and flavor you won’t get from the standard preparation.
Hack the Appetizers
Le Cellier’s starters are heavy. If you order a full soup and poutine before a steak, you will hit a wall before the main course arrives.
- Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup: It is rich, satisfying, and a must-do. Ask for a half-portion and share it. This saves you a few dollars and leaves room for the rest of your meal.
- Signature Poutine: The cheese curds are the star here. If you are splitting with a partner, order one full and one half-portion. The half-portion still delivers the full gravy experience, but keeps the volume manageable.
Drinks and Dessert
The Canadian wine list leans heavily on Okanagan Pinot Noir and Icewine. A glass of the Pinot pairs perfectly with the steak and usually runs around $12. If you are celebrating, a bottle of Icewine is a legitimate splurge that is actually worth the premium.
For dessert, the Chocolate Lava Cake is the standout. If you are using the Disney Dining Plan, this is a great credit-worthy finish to your meal.
