Fort Wilderness Sleigh Rides Now Bookable for December 2026
Published October 8, 2026 · Updated October 12, 2026
Holiday Sleigh Rides at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground are open for booking for the 2026 holiday season, according to reports published Thursday, October 8, 2026. The horse-drawn rides are listed for December 1 through December 30, excluding December 24, at $80 per sleigh with tax included.
As of Thursday, October 8, 2026, reservations are reportedly being taken through Disney’s website and the My Disney Experience app, up to 60 days before the visit date — so later December dates open on a rolling basis as the month gets closer.
Each ride is listed at 25 minutes and departs from the Tri-Circle-D Ranch barn near the Settlement Bus Depot, winding along wooded trails through the campground. One sleigh holds up to four adults, or two adults and three small children, and the experience is listed as open to all ages.
Disney reportedly recommends advance reservations because availability is limited, though same-day bookings and walk-ins are offered on a limited basis. The cancellation terms are strict: guests pay the full price for a no-show or a cancellation inside 24 hours. Rides reportedly operate in rain and cold and are only cancelled for inclement weather, and Disney does not hand out umbrellas, ponchos, or sunscreen — bring your own.
Reports put the 2022 rate at $75, which makes this year’s $80 price $5 higher.

What’s not confirmed

What it means for your trip
- Book the date you actually want now rather than later. With a 60-day rolling window and limited slots, prime-week evenings are the first to go, and the 24-hour cancellation rule means a full charge if you shuffle plans.
- Budget the travel time honestly. Reports say to allow 60 minutes if you drive and park near the main entrance and ride the complimentary bus to the Settlement Bus Depot, and up to 90 minutes coming from elsewhere on property. That is not a quick hop out of a park.
- Treat it as a resort-day anchor, not a park-day add-on. A 25-minute ride wrapped in two hours of transit will eat an evening, so pair it with the Fort Wilderness and Wilderness Lodge area instead of squeezing it between a Magic Kingdom morning and fireworks.
- Dress for weather, not for the photos. Rides go in rain and cold, so pack a poncho and layers, and expect to eat the cost if you bail late.
