Holiday music overlays are reportedly coming to three Walt Disney World attractions starting November 4, 2026, at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and EPCOT. The news surfaced in blog coverage published Tuesday, October 6, 2026, alongside the same day’s ticket price increase.

As of Wednesday, October 7, the overlays have not been confirmed in an official Disney announcement — the November 4 start date comes from reports, not from Disney.

Two of the three rides are in Hollywood Studios: Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets and Alien Swirling Saucers in Toy Story Land, where the seasonal set is reportedly titled Lilypad’s Jams. The third is Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT.

The timing lines up with both parks’ holiday events. Disney Jollywood Nights at Hollywood Studios runs November 7, 2026 through January 5, 2027, and EPCOT’s International Festival of the Holidays runs November 27 through December 30, 2026. The November 4 overlay start lands ahead of both.

What we know

What’s not confirmed

Disney has not announced the overlays officially, so treat the November 4 date as reported rather than locked. The specific songs on each attraction were not named in the reporting, and no end date for the overlays was given — the event dates above are the event dates, not the overlay dates. Whether the Cosmic Rewind holiday playlist rotates among multiple tracks, as its soundtrack normally does, was also not stated.

What it means for your trip

If you already have a November or December park day, this costs you nothing and changes nothing about how you should plan — it’s a soundtrack swap on rides you were likely doing anyway. Don’t reshuffle a day around it.

What it’s actually worth: a repeat ride. If Cosmic Rewind or Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster is a must for your group, the overlay is a decent argument for a second lap later in the day rather than a one-and-done morning ride. Cosmic Rewind is Lightning Lane Single Pass, so a second ride means paying again or taking the standby wait — plan which one you want before you’re standing in Wonders of Xandar deciding.

Alien Swirling Saucers is the easy win here. It’s a Multi Pass attraction, it’s usually one of the shorter waits in Toy Story Land, and it’s short enough that a rerun for the music is a small time cost with young kids in tow.

One scheduling note: November 4 is a Wednesday, and Jollywood Nights starts that Saturday. If you’re visiting that first week, the overlays should be running during regular park hours — you don’t need a separate ticketed event to hear them.
