Hollywood Studios Nov 21–22: Moderate Crowds, Smart Plan

Published October 29, 2026

For Saturday, Nov 21 and Sunday, Nov 22, 2026, SupaPark forecasts Hollywood Studios at about 5.5/10, with Saturday the busier day at 6/10. That’s moderate. Don’t expect a ghost town or a holiday-week crush. Timing will matter more than the date: over the last 30 days, SupaPark’s wait data shows Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets at a 15-minute median wait at 8 AM, compared with 55 minutes at 11 AM. That’s 40 minutes of difference on one ride, decided by when you show up.

Here’s how that weekend looks and what I’d do with it.

How the Four Parks Compare That Weekend

SupaPark’s crowd forecast for Nov 21–22 (as of Oct 29):

No party nights fall on these dates on our calendar, so you won’t lose evening hours to a ticketed event.

The call: if your dates are flexible, put Hollywood Studios on Sunday, Nov 22 and spend the busier Saturday at Magic Kingdom or Animal Kingdom, which both forecast well below the Studios. Keep in mind that this weekend lands just before Thanksgiving week. Crowds often build as that week gets closer, so a moderate forecast now doesn’t mean the following days will look the same. Check the crowd calendar again before you go.

The Hourly Pattern That Should Shape Your Day

This is SupaPark’s measured pattern from Sep 30–Oct 28, not a measurement of Nov 21–22. Use it as a guide to how a recent Studios day usually plays out. The figures are the median posted wait across the park’s five busiest rides:

In other words, the Studios fills up fast and stays full. Waits jump 15 minutes between 8 and 9 AM, then stay around 50 minutes from late morning until early evening. You won’t get much of a midday break here. Your best free windows are the first hour and the evening.

Rope Drop: Pick One Coaster and Commit

The early window only helps if you’re actually in it. Showing up 20 minutes after opening and calling it rope drop usually gives you the worst of both: no paid shortcut and a line that’s already grown.

My pick for the first ride is Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster (15 min at 8 AM vs 55 min at 11 AM). It has the biggest morning-to-midday gap in our Studios data, and it’s close to the entrance, so you aren’t hiking across the park first.

Rise of the Resistance is a Single Pass ride. It’s a riskier first move, because you’re betting both on the ride opening on time and on a long walk back into Galaxy’s Edge. If it’s your group’s top ride and you’d be upset to miss it, buying the Single Pass is often the calmer option.

If you’re staying on-site, use Early Theme Park Entry. Guests at the Swan and Dolphin can walk to Hollywood Studios and get Early Entry, which makes those hotels worth a look if the Studios and EPCOT are your main parks. Just know that the Swan and Dolphin don’t take part in the Disney Dining Plan.

Slinky Dog Dash: The Best Time Is Late

SupaPark’s data shows Slinky Dog Dash at a 30-minute median at 9 PM, compared with 70 minutes at 12 PM. That 70-minute noon wait is the worst in our Studios headliner data. Slinky also tends to sell out early on Lightning Lane Multi Pass. So you have two good options:

  1. Make Slinky an early Multi Pass selection. It’s one of the ones you’ll most regret waiting on.
  2. Ride it in the evening if the park is open that late on your date. Check the posted hours first, because they vary.

A row tip: for a nervous kid or a first-time coaster rider, ask politely for the front row. Seeing the track ahead makes the launches and turns feel more predictable. For kids who love thrill rides, the back row feels bouncier and bigger.

Lightning Lane: Multi Pass Earns Its Keep Here

The Studios has plenty of useful Multi Pass targets, so it’s one of the better parks to buy it for. Resort guests can book selections starting 7 days before arrival, and off-site guests 3 days before. Both windows open at 7:00 AM Eastern. For a Nov 21 visit, off-site guests can book starting at 7:00 AM on Nov 18.

The refills matter as much as your first picks. Once you redeem a selection or its window passes, add the next one in My Disney Experience and keep checking all day. SupaPark can alert you when a Lightning Lane you’re watching becomes bookable, and you book it in My Disney Experience.

For Rise of the Resistance Single Pass, use the wait-time rule. Under 30 minutes standby, keep your money. From 30 to 45 minutes it’s a judgment call. From 45 to 60 it’s worth a serious look, and over 60 the numbers usually favor buying. Before you buy, check the return window against the rest of your day. A pass that clashes with a dining reservation or forces you to backtrack across the park costs you more than the price on the screen.

Dining and Food

Advance Dining Reservations open 60 days ahead at 6:00 AM Eastern, so the booking window for these dates has already opened. If a table you want is full, set a Drop Watch. SupaPark alerts you when a cancellation opens one up, and you book it in My Disney Experience. Free accounts get these alerts by email.

For quick service, Mobile Order saves time, but special modifications often can’t be made in the app. If you need an ingredient removed, plan to order at the counter.

The One Thing to Remember

Hollywood Studios on Nov 21–22 looks moderately busy, not punishing. Your results will come down to two windows: ride Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster first thing in the morning, and ride Slinky Dog Dash either with an early Multi Pass selection or late in the evening. Avoid standing in big standby lines from late morning through the afternoon.

Frequently Asked Questions

How crowded will Hollywood Studios be on Nov 21–22, 2026?

SupaPark forecasts a moderate 5.5/10 average, with Saturday, Nov 21 the busier day at 6/10. EPCOT is forecast busier, while Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom are forecast lighter.

What is the best time to ride Slinky Dog Dash?

Based on SupaPark’s data from the last 30 days, the evening is best: the median wait was 30 minutes at 9 PM, compared with 70 minutes at noon. Book it as an early Multi Pass selection if you won’t be there late.

Which day is better for Hollywood Studios, Nov 21 or Nov 22?

Sunday, Nov 22 should be slightly lighter, since Saturday is the forecast peak at 6/10. If you can, spend Saturday at Magic Kingdom or Animal Kingdom, which forecast much lower.

Is Rise of the Resistance Single Pass worth it that weekend?

It depends on the standby wait. Under 30 minutes, usually skip it. Over 45 to 60 minutes, it’s worth a serious look, especially since rope dropping Rise means betting on the ride opening on time and a long walk into Galaxy’s Edge.
