Ride & wait-time alerts: get pinged when a ride goes walk-on or goes down
Set up Ride-Now anomaly alerts (Plus) so SupaPark notifies you the moment a ride craters to walk-on or stops running.
The short answer
Turn on Ride-Now anomaly alerts on the Alerts page (/app/alerts). They watch the rides you care about and ping you the instant something changes — either a wait time cratering to near walk-on, or a ride going down. These alerts are a Plus feature ($14.99/mo).
The two alert types (they’re not the same thing)
- Walk-on / wait drop — The posted wait suddenly collapses to a near-zero, hop-right-on level. The ride is running; it just got unusually short. This is your cue to sprint over and grab a long ride for almost no wait.
- Ride down — The ride has stopped operating (a temporary closure or technical stop). The wait isn’t short — there’s currently no boarding at all. Useful so you don’t waste a walk across the park, and so you can pivot your plan. We also flag when it comes back up.
Think of it this way: walk-on = go now, down = don’t bother yet.
How to set them up
- Go to Alerts (
/app/alerts). - Add the rides you want watched (for example, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train or Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind).
- Choose which anomaly types to be notified about — wait drop, ride down, or both.
- Save. SupaPark’s prediction engine handles the watching from there.
You can adjust or remove watches on the same page anytime.
Make sure the alert actually reaches you
Web push is the primary channel, and it’s instant — but your browser has to allow it:
- Grant SupaPark notification permission in your browser when prompted.
- For the most reliable delivery, install the SupaPark web app to your home screen (add to home screen / install from your browser menu).
- Email alerts are also available as a backup.
- On the Family plan ($30/mo), you can add SMS alerts too.
If alerts aren’t arriving, the usual fix is re-granting browser notification permission and confirming you’re on Plus or Family.
What happens after you get pinged
For a walk-on alert, just head to the ride — no booking needed. SupaPark doesn’t reserve anything for you; it simply catches the moment faster than you could watching the wait board yourself.
Want to see live status without alerts?
Every plan, including Free, shows live wait times and operational status on the Dashboard (/app/dashboard) and the Ride-Now view (/now). Anomaly alerts that find you automatically are the Plus upgrade.
