How often each ride comes back

Every ride below has its own measured sellout page. "Came back" uses one definition everywhere: at least an hour after the sellout, return times were available for at least half of the following hour. Full table with median restock times and a CSV: Lightning Lane restock data.

Wait-drop alerts

Not every ride needs a Lightning Lane. A wait-drop watch alerts you when a ride's posted standby wait falls to the number you choose, so you can walk over while it lasts. A "lowest wait of the day" watch sends one alert per park day, when the live wait is very likely the lowest it will post for the rest of the day. Wait history for each ride: best time to ride every headliner.

Ride reopen alerts

When a ride goes down, a back-up watch tells you when it is running again: one alert per closure, the moment the ride reports open. Live closures and reopenings also stream on live drops.

Virtual queues

Disney uses virtual queues for some rides and events from time to time. Check the current status on SupaPark's virtual queue status page; when there is no virtual queue, a Lightning Lane watch and standby are the ways in.

How it works

  1. Pick the ride. Set a Lightning Lane watch (or a wait-drop or back-up watch) in the SupaPark app or on the web.
  2. We watch. SupaPark checks Disney's Lightning Lane availability every few seconds and records every change.
  3. You get the alert. Free: by email, 10 alert emails a day. Silver: push (unlimited push alerts) and unlimited email. Gold: unlimited push, plus SMS.
  4. You book. Open My Disney Experience and select the return time. Re-released times can go fast, so act right away.

Frequently asked questions

Can I get notified when a Lightning Lane becomes available?

Yes. Set a Lightning Lane watch for the ride in SupaPark and you get an alert when a return time reappears after it sold out. Free accounts get alerts by email (10 a day); Silver adds push and Gold adds text (SMS) alerts. You book the return time yourself in My Disney Experience.

Do sold-out Lightning Lanes come back?

Sometimes. Across the 22 Walt Disney World rides we publish, sold-out Lightning Lanes came back on 11% of sellout days (65 of 595) between Sep 19 – Oct 19, 2026; Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance came back most often (25 of 28 sellout days). Short re-releases from single cancellations are counted separately; an alert catches both.

What time do Lightning Lanes restock?

In our last 31 days, return times that came back for a sustained stretch did so most often 1–3 PM ET (65 restocks). Each ride's own pattern is on its sellout page and on the restock data page.

Is the Lightning Lane alert free?

Yes. A Free SupaPark account can set Lightning Lane, wait-drop and ride-reopen watches, with alerts by email (10 alert emails a day). Paid plans add push and text: Free $0; Silver $19/month or $125/year; Gold $29/month or $199/year.

Does SupaPark book the Lightning Lane for me?

No. SupaPark only watches and alerts. It never makes, holds, pays for or modifies a booking; you confirm the return time yourself in My Disney Experience, as fast as you can, because other guests see it too.

Can I get alerted when a ride reopens after a breakdown?

Yes. A back-up watch sends one alert when the ride comes back from each closure, so you can head over while the line is still building.

Can I get a wait-time drop alert?

Yes. A wait-drop watch alerts you when a ride's posted wait falls to the number you pick, and a "lowest wait of the day" watch alerts you once when the live wait is very likely the lowest it will post for the rest of the day.

Does this work for Disneyland?

No. SupaPark covers the four Walt Disney World parks only: Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom.

Which Disney World Lightning Lane sells out first?

Over the last 31 days the fastest to sell out were Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind (gone before 7 am on 26 of 30 days), Seven Dwarfs Mine Train (gone before 7 am on 24 of 31 days), Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance (gone before 7 am on 24 of 31 days). Every ride's measured sellout time is on its own page.

Methodology

A Lightning Lane "sellout" is the first minute after 7:00 AM Eastern when no return times are left and fewer than 10% of the following hour has any; that minute is the sellout time. A day where nothing was left at 7:00 AM (or in the hour before) counts as "gone before 7 AM" rather than as a time. Short re-releases from cancellations after a sellout do not undo it. Days with a collection gap, or when the ride itself reported being down near the sellout, are left out, so a breakdown is never counted as a sellout. The "median sellout time" is taken over days that sold out after 7:00 AM only; "sold-out days" counts both kinds. Every number comes from the same daily table (ll_sellout_daily) on every SupaPark page.

A sold-out Lightning Lane "restocked" (came back) on a day when, at least an hour after it sold out, return times were available for at least half of the following hour. Brief re-releases from single cancellations do not count as a restock; they are counted separately as re-release minutes. Only days that sold out (including "gone before 7 AM") can restock, and the restock time is the first minute of that hour, Eastern. Every number comes from the same daily table (ll_sellout_daily) as the sellout times. Window: the last 31 completed park days (Sep 19 – Oct 19, 2026), for the rides with a published sellout page. Definitions: SupaPark methodology.
