Disney re-releases Lightning Lane return times when guests cancel or modify. Most re-releases are a single return time that someone else grabs within minutes. Sometimes a block comes back and stays available for a while. This page measures that second kind, a restock, for every ride with a published sellout page.

Frequently asked questions

Do sold-out Lightning Lanes come back?

Sometimes, but not often for long. As of Oct 20, 2026, sold-out Walt Disney World Lightning Lanes came back on 11% of sellout days (65 of 595) across 22 rides over the last 31 days, most often 1–3 PM ET (SupaPark measured data).

When does Lightning Lane restock?

The most common restock window in our last 31 days was 1–3 PM ET (20 of 65 restocks started then). Restocks happen at other times too, so an alert is more reliable than checking at one time.

Will more Lightning Lane become available after it sells out?

Often in small amounts: guests cancel or modify, and each change can free a return time for a moment. The last column of the table shows how many minutes those short re-releases added up to on each ride's typical sellout day. A sustained comeback is a restock: came back on 11% of sellout days (65 of 595).

Which Lightning Lane comes back most often?

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance: return times came back on 25 of its 28 sellout days, at a median 10:17 AM.

Which Lightning Lanes never came back?

In the last 31 days, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, TRON Lightcycle / Run, Frozen Ever After, Remy's Ratatouille Adventure, Peter Pan's Flight, Jungle Cruise, Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway, Haunted Mansion, Na'vi River Journey, Alien Swirling Saucers did not come back for a sustained stretch on any sellout day (among rides with at least 10 sellout days). Short re-releases still happened.

How do I catch a Lightning Lane when it comes back?

Set a SupaPark Lightning Lane watch for the ride. You get an alert when a return time reappears (by email on a free account, push and text on paid plans), then book it yourself in My Disney Experience. SupaPark never books for you.

Methodology

A sold-out Lightning Lane "restocked" (came back) on a day when, at least an hour after it sold out, return times were available for at least half of the following hour. Brief re-releases from single cancellations do not count as a restock; they are counted separately as re-release minutes. Only days that sold out (including "gone before 7 AM") can restock, and the restock time is the first minute of that hour, Eastern. Every number comes from the same daily table (ll_sellout_daily) as the sellout times.

A Lightning Lane "sellout" is the first minute after 7:00 AM Eastern when no return times are left and fewer than 10% of the following hour has any; that minute is the sellout time. A day where nothing was left at 7:00 AM (or in the hour before) counts as "gone before 7 AM" rather than as a time. Short re-releases from cancellations after a sellout do not undo it. Days with a collection gap, or when the ride itself reported being down near the sellout, are left out, so a breakdown is never counted as a sellout. The "median sellout time" is taken over days that sold out after 7:00 AM only; "sold-out days" counts both kinds. Every number comes from the same daily table (ll_sellout_daily) on every SupaPark page.
