Disney announced that Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT will add holiday music to its ride soundtrack this winter. Three seasonal songs will be in the mix from November 25 through January 6, 2027, shuffled so the track you get can change from ride to ride.
As of Monday, October 12, 2026, that is the full confirmed window. Disney shared the plan on Tuesday, October 6, 2026.
Outside the holiday season, the attraction’s save-the-galaxy sequence plays one of six songs by Earth musicians, picked as you launch. The holiday overlay works the same way — a rotating track rather than a single fixed song — which is why repeat riders can get a different soundtrack on the same day.
The music change overlaps most, but not all, of EPCOT’s holiday programming. Disney confirmed the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays runs November 27 through December 30, 2026, so the Cosmic Rewind tracks start two days before the festival and continue a full week after it ends.
What we know
- Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind (EPCOT, World Discovery) — three holiday songs in rotation November 25, 2026 through January 6, 2027
- Songs are shuffled per ride, not assigned to a set show time
- The attraction’s standard soundtrack is six songs by Earth artists
- EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays — November 27 through December 30, 2026
- Announced Tuesday, October 6, 2026
What’s not confirmed
Disney did not name the three holiday songs in the announcement. Disney also has not said whether the usual six tracks continue to appear during the overlay window or step aside for the seasonal three, and has not announced any other holiday change to the attraction — no queue, pavilion, or preshow updates were included.
What it means for your trip
- If hearing more than one holiday track matters to your group, plan to ride Cosmic Rewind twice in a day. Because the song is shuffled, one ride gets you one of three.
- Cosmic Rewind is a Lightning Lane Single Pass attraction, bought à la carte — it is not part of Lightning Lane Multi Pass, so budget for it separately if you want a second ride without a long standby wait.
- The cheapest second ride is usually a rope-drop or late-evening standby lap, with the Single Pass saved for the middle of the day. Late December sits in EPCOT’s heaviest crowd stretch, so that pairing matters more during Christmas week than it does November 25–26.
- Visiting December 31 through January 6, 2027? You get the holiday tracks but not Festival of the Holidays, which ends December 30 — plan food and entertainment around the festival being over.
- SupaPark’s wait-drop alerts can ping you when Cosmic Rewind’s standby line craters, which is how most people get that free second ride.
