EPCOT Dec 26–28, 2026: How Busy Will It Really Be?
Published November 2, 2026
EPCOT is forecast to be full from December 26 through December 28. SupaPark’s crowd forecast puts it at 10 out of 10 on all three days, so there’s no quieter day to aim for. Your plan should be built around the clock, not the date.
Forecast as of November 2, 2026. Live numbers here: EPCOT crowd calendar for December 2026. Holiday week: Christmas week crowd forecast · New Year’s week crowd forecast.
The number that should shape your plan: SupaPark’s wait data shows the median posted wait across EPCOT’s five busiest rides at 30 minutes at 8 AM, rising to 60 minutes by 4 PM. That comes from the last 30 days (Oct 4–Nov 1), not from Christmas week. Waits between Christmas and New Year’s will probably run higher overall, but the daily pattern is the useful part, and it favors early arrivals.
The Verdict for Dec 26–28
If EPCOT is on your list this week, go in the morning and accept that it will be busy. Most parks give you a break late in the day. In the recent data, EPCOT barely does. SupaPark’s wait data shows its five busiest rides at:
- 45 min at 9 AM
- 53 min at 11 AM
- 55 min at 2 PM
- 60 min at 5 PM
- 45 min at 8 PM
The wait at 8 PM was the same as at 9 AM. Many people plan to ride the big attractions after dinner, but recently that hasn’t worked well at EPCOT. The only clearly shorter window has been the first hour, with a low of 30 minutes at 8 AM.
Who should still go: people for whom EPCOT is a must-do and who can get to the gate before opening. Who should move it: anyone with flexible dates who can do EPCOT on a lighter week, or who will only reach the park around midday.
Day by Day: Dec 26, 27 and 28
SupaPark’s crowd forecast as of Nov 2 (level out of 10):
| Park | Dec 26 | Dec 27 | Dec 28 | 3-day avg |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| EPCOT | 10 | 10 | 10 | 10.0 |
| Hollywood Studios | 10 | 10 | 10 | 10.0 |
| Animal Kingdom | 10 | 10 | 10 | 10.0 |
| Magic Kingdom | 10 | 9 | 10 | 9.7 |
There are no party nights on SupaPark’s calendar in this window. Dec 27 at Magic Kingdom is the only day across all four parks forecast below 10.
For EPCOT, no day is better than the others. Choose the morning when your group can arrive earliest. Picking a different date won’t help.

Best and Worst Hours (Recent Pattern)
These are median posted waits from SupaPark’s measurements over the last 30 days. They are not a measurement of Dec 26–28. They show how a typical day has been playing out:
- Frozen Ever After: 20 min at 8 AM vs 65 min at 1 PM
- Test Track: 30 min at 8 AM vs 75 min at 4 PM
The peak times are worth noticing. Frozen Ever After has been peaking around lunch, while Test Track peaks later in the afternoon. So ride Frozen Ever After first, as soon as you’re in. Its wait grows faster, and the gap between its best and worst hour is about 45 minutes. Do Test Track next, while it’s still in its early-morning range.
Test Track also has a single rider line. If your group is fine riding separately, that’s an option once the standby wait has grown.
The first hour only helps if you use it well. Do bathroom stops before the gate, have the stroller ready, and skip shopping and photos on the way in. Go straight to your first ride. If you’re staying on site, use Early Theme Park Entry.
From about 1 PM to 5 PM, posted waits are at their highest. Use those hours for things that don’t involve a ride queue, like walking World Showcase or catching shows.
One evening caution: Candlelight Processional at America Gardens Theatre is free to watch, but standby seating can take a lot of waiting on busy holiday nights. If it’s running on your night and seeing it is a priority, plan your evening around it. If you’re only mildly interested, skip it rather than spend a large part of a 10/10 evening in a line with no guaranteed seat.
Which Park to Pick Instead
If your dates are fixed but your park order isn’t, here’s how the other parks look.
Magic Kingdom is the lighter choice, especially Dec 27. It has the lowest three-day average (9.7) and the only 9 on the board. In the recent pattern, its five busiest rides were at 23 minutes at 8 AM and 28 minutes at 8 PM, so it has a real early window and some easing at night. Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin and Jungle Cruise were both around 5 minutes at 8 AM, compared with 39 minutes in mid-afternoon. If you can swap days, putting Magic Kingdom on Dec 27 is the easiest change to make.
Animal Kingdom is forecast at 10 every day, but its recent wait pattern drops sharply late in the day. The five-ride median fell from 40 minutes at 11 AM to 15 minutes at 5 PM, with a low of 10 minutes at 6 PM. Kilimanjaro Safaris was 10 minutes at 3 PM vs 53 minutes at 11 AM. Na’vi River Journey was 10 minutes at 7 PM vs 45 minutes at 11 AM. Arriving late is a reasonable plan here, as long as park hours that day allow it. Holiday-week hours aren’t covered by this data, so check them before you count on it.
Hollywood Studios has been best late at night. Its five-ride median dropped to 24 minutes at 9 PM. Slinky Dog Dash went from 70 minutes at noon to 30 minutes at 9 PM. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets has been best first thing, at 15 minutes at 8 AM vs 54 minutes at noon. Plan an early start or a late finish there.
Among the four parks, EPCOT is the hardest to fix by changing what time of day you visit. That’s why it’s the one to protect with your earliest start.
How SupaPark Helps on the Day
SupaPark’s best-time forecaster and crowd calendar are free at supapark.com and in the free iPhone and Android app. They show when each ride has usually been shortest, so you don’t have to work it out yourself. Even on 10/10 days, a headliner sometimes drops to a short wait. SupaPark’s live alerts can tell you when that happens, or when a ride you’re waiting on goes down.
The One Thing to Remember
EPCOT has the same forecast all three days, and recently it hasn’t eased in the evening. Get to the gate early, ride Frozen Ever After first, and finish your must-dos by late morning. If you can move days around, Magic Kingdom on Dec 27 is the lightest option on the forecast.
