Grand Floridian Cafe Adds Breakfast and Lunch Bookings

Live now: Grand Floridian Cafe availability
Breakfast and lunch reservations at Grand Floridian Cafe, the table-service restaurant at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, are now open for booking ahead of the restaurant’s reopening in November, according to reports published Thursday, October 8, 2026. Dinner reservations were already available after the reported November 2 reopening date surfaced in early September.
As of Thursday, October 8, the restaurant remains closed. It has been shut for refurbishment since July.
That means all three meal periods — breakfast, lunch, and dinner — can now be booked for dates on and after the reopening, rather than dinner alone. Advance Dining Reservations at Walt Disney World open 60 days before your arrival date at 6:00 AM Eastern in My Disney Experience, so whether a given November date is reachable for you right now depends on when your trip starts.
What we know
- Grand Floridian Cafe (Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa) — closed for refurbishment since July; reportedly reopening November 2
- Breakfast and lunch reservations — now open for booking, per reports
- Dinner reservations — opened earlier, after the reopening date was reported in early September
What’s not confirmed
Disney has not issued an official statement confirming the November 2 reopening date, and the reporting comes from a single outlet. Nothing has been announced about menu changes, operating hours for each meal period, or what the refurbishment actually changed inside the restaurant. Treat the date as reported, not locked.
What it means for your trip
If you have a Grand Floridian stay or a Magic Kingdom day in November and you wanted this restaurant, breakfast is the slot worth acting on first. Resort-area breakfasts near the monorail loop tend to be the hardest to grab at sensible hours, and a newly reopened restaurant draws attention from guests who have been waiting since July.
A few practical notes. First, don’t build a rope-drop plan around an unconfirmed opening date — if Grand Floridian Cafe is your pre-park breakfast and the reopening slips, you want a backup, not a scramble. Second, lunch here is the quieter play: it is an easy midday reset if you are staying on the monorail loop and willing to leave Magic Kingdom for an hour. Third, if the time you want is already gone, remember that early reservations at a reopening restaurant churn hard as people firm up park days — a dining Drop Watch in SupaPark can ping you when a table frees up, and you book it in My Disney Experience.
