Magic Kingdom Crowds Nov 27, 2026: Black Friday Forecast
Published November 5, 2026
Here’s the headline number: as of Nov 5, SupaPark’s crowd forecast puts Magic Kingdom at 3/10 for Friday, Nov 27, 2026 — the lightest of the four Walt Disney World parks that day, while EPCOT sits at 6/10. On the busiest shopping day of the year, the most popular park in the world is projected to be the calmest.

That sounds like a gift. It’s actually a trade. Magic Kingdom hosts Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party on Nov 27, which means the park closes early to day guests. The low crowd level and the short day are the same fact wearing two hats, and if you walk in expecting a full Black Friday at Magic Kingdom, you will be walked out before you’re done.
The verdict for Nov 27
Magic Kingdom on Black Friday is a morning park, not a day park. Treat it like a half-day sprint and the 3/10 forecast works beautifully in your favor: thinner morning crowds than a typical holiday-week Friday, plus an afternoon exit that you plan for instead of resent.
Treat it like a normal full day and you get the worst of both worlds — you’ll be pacing yourself through the morning, then discover the back half of your touring plan doesn’t exist. Party-night early closes also tend to compress the day guests who are there into fewer hours, so the posted waits you see late in a party-day afternoon can run hotter than the forecast level implies.
If you hold a party ticket, flip all of this. You’re the one with the good day: you get the morning at a 3/10 park, then the evening after day guests clear out.
Nov 27 park by park
SupaPark’s forecast for Friday, Nov 27, 2026 (crowd level out of 10, as of Nov 5):
- Magic Kingdom — 3/10. Tied for lightest, but with the early close to day guests for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.
- Animal Kingdom — 3/10. Same forecast level as Magic Kingdom, no early close. This is the quiet full day on the board.
- Hollywood Studios — 5/10. Middle of the pack, and its wait pattern rewards a very specific hour (more below).
- EPCOT — 6/10. Busiest of the four.
One day, four very different plays. The forecast alone says “go to Magic Kingdom or Animal Kingdom” — the schedule says one of those two gives you the whole day.

Best and worst hours
These come from SupaPark’s measurement of the last 30 days (Oct 7 – Nov 4) — the recent daily shape of each park, not a measurement of Nov 27 itself. Holiday-week behavior can shift the curve. But the shape is durable enough to build around, and the gaps are enormous.
Median posted wait across each park’s five busiest rides:
- Magic Kingdom: 25 min at 8 AM, 30 at 9 AM, 40 at 11 AM, peaking at 45 min at 1 PM and holding 43 at 5 PM, then easing to 28 by 8 PM.
- Animal Kingdom: 25 min at 9 AM, 40 at 11 AM (its peak), 30 at 2 PM, 15 at 5 PM, bottoming at 10 min at 6 PM.
- Hollywood Studios: 40 min at 9 AM, 50 at 11 AM and 2 PM, 45 at 5 PM, 33 at 8 PM, lowest at 20 min at 9 PM.
- EPCOT: climbs all day — 30 min at 8 AM, 45 at 9 AM, 50 at 11 AM, 55 at 2 PM, peaking at 60 min at 5 PM before falling back to 45 at 8 PM.
At the individual-headliner level the spreads get absurd. Jungle Cruise runs a median 5 min at 8 AM versus 40 min at noon. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad: 9 min at 8 AM versus 35 min at 1 PM. That first hour at Magic Kingdom is worth roughly four normal hours, which is exactly why a party-day early close hurts less than you’d think — the valuable part of the day is intact.
The under-used Magic Kingdom rope-drop move: if you’re off-site without Early Theme Park Entry, don’t start in Tomorrowland. Those lands have been absorbing on-site guests for half an hour before official open, so Space Mountain’s queue is already inflated when you get in. Adventureland isn’t open during Early Entry — so head there and take Jungle Cruise at its 5-minute hour while everyone else queues up for a ride that’s already backed up.
Which park to pick instead
Animal Kingdom is the smart Black Friday pick. Same 3/10 forecast as Magic Kingdom, no early close, and the best late-day curve on property: a median 15 min at 5 PM and 10 min at 6 PM, against a 40-minute peak at 11 AM. Kilimanjaro Safaris shows 10 min at 3 PM versus 50 min at 10 AM; Na’vi River Journey 10 min at 7 PM versus 45 min at 11 AM.
There’s a real tension there worth naming: the cheapest Safaris wait is mid-afternoon, but animals are often more active in the cooler morning. If the animals are the point, go early and pay the wait. If the ride count is the point, go at 3 PM. Animal Kingdom’s touring pattern is heavily front-loaded — everyone rushes Flight of Passage, Na’vi River Journey and Safaris at open — which is what hollows out the back half. Expedition Everest is often a better afternoon play than people expect for exactly this reason.
Hollywood Studios at 5/10 is the sleeper if you’re a night-owl group. Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway runs a median 10 min at 9 PM versus 50 min at noon; Slinky Dog Dash, 30 min at 9 PM versus 68 min at noon. Skipping midday entirely and touring the last two hours is a legitimate strategy there.
EPCOT at 6/10 is the one to avoid on Nov 27 unless you’re there for World Showcase rather than rides. Its curve only gets worse as the day goes: Test Track medians 30 min at 8 AM against 70 min at 4 PM, and Frozen Ever After 20 min at 8 AM against 63 min at 1 PM. Arrive at open or don’t bother with the headliners.
Forecasts are projections, and holiday weekends are where they wobble most. SupaPark’s best-time forecaster shows each ride’s usual shape for your actual date, and live alerts will ping you the moment a wait craters or a ride goes down — which on a day with an early close is the difference between one more ride and none.
The one thing to remember
Magic Kingdom’s 3/10 on Black Friday is real, but it’s a half-day at that level. Use the first two hours hard, start in Adventureland if you don’t have Early Entry, and if you want a full quiet day instead of a great quiet morning, go to Animal Kingdom.
