Typhoon Lagoon Reopens on January 27, 2027

Published November 5, 2026

Disney announced on Thursday, November 5, 2026, that Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park at Walt Disney World reopens on January 27, 2027. As of Thursday, November 5, the Disney Water Park Seasonal Pass is valid through May 15, 2027, except blockout dates of February 19–21 and March 20–28, 2027.

Disney announced the January 27 date on its parks blog. In the same note, Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park is welcoming guests until January 26, 2027. Passholders can visit Blizzard Beach now and Typhoon Lagoon after it reopens.

The pass includes one round of miniature golf before 4 p.m. on any one date during the usage window, at a choice of two courses. It also includes 20% off same-day rentals of Polar Patios and Beachcomber Shacks. Disney said that discount must be booked in person at the water park.

Disney described the reopened park around Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool, Crush ‘n’ Gusher, Castaway Creek, and Ketchakiddee Creek, plus beaches and quieter spots. Those are reminders of what is there, not a published opening-day lineup.

What’s not confirmed

Disney did not announce a price for the Seasonal Pass or for a single-day water park ticket, and it did not post hours for January 27. The mini-golf round is at a choice of two courses; the course names were not included in the coverage available. Disney did not confirm which attractions will run on reopening day, did not give the date Typhoon Lagoon closed, and did not say Blizzard Beach will close after January 26. Reports describe the two water parks taking turns for off-season refurbishment, with Typhoon Lagoon having closed after the summer season. Disney’s announcement did not describe that work.

What it means for your trip

Before January 27, 2027, a water park day is at Blizzard Beach. Typhoon Lagoon does not reopen until that Wednesday.

If your trip includes January 26 and January 27, 2027, Disney’s dates support Blizzard Beach on the 26th and Typhoon Lagoon on the 27th. The announcement does not put both parks open on the same date.

A Seasonal Pass does not cover February 19–21 or March 20–28, 2027. If those dates fall in your trip, you need a different ticket or a different day.

Use the mini-golf round on one date, and be done before 4 p.m. The 20% off Polar Patios and Beachcomber Shacks is same-day and in person, so it will not hold a rental before you arrive.
