Cosmic Rewind Down at EPCOT Since 4:05 PM Tuesday
Published October 13, 2026
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, the indoor coaster in EPCOT’s World Discovery neighborhood, has been showing as closed since 4:05 PM ET on Tuesday, October 13, according to SupaPark’s live ride-status tracking. As of Tuesday, October 13 at 5:17 PM ET, the attraction had been continuously down for 1 hour and 12 minutes, and the status had not changed.
That reading comes from SupaPark’s own live park-operations sensors, which snapshot ride status every five minutes. The closure falls inside the ride’s own observed operating window for the day — this is unplanned downtime, not the ride winding down for park close.
For scale: the longest single continuous outage SupaPark measured for Cosmic Rewind in the trailing 30 days was 4 hours and 25 minutes, on October 8, 2026. Tuesday’s stretch has not reached that mark.

What it means for your trip
If Cosmic Rewind is your one must-do and you are in EPCOT right now, walk to Test Track or Mission: SPACE in the same neighborhood rather than waiting near the entrance — both are a short walk and absorb displaced riders quickly, which means lines there tend to build during a Cosmic Rewind outage. Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure over in the France pavilion is the longer-walk fallback.
Cosmic Rewind is a Lightning Lane Single Pass attraction, bought à la carte rather than as part of Multi Pass. Hold off on buying a Single Pass for it while the ride is offline; if you already hold one, go to a Cast Member at the attraction or at Guest Relations before you leave the park, not after.
Families with kids under the 42-inch height requirement were not riding this one anyway, so a downtime stretch is the right moment to use the whole group on World Showcase or a sit-down snack instead of splitting up for Rider Switch.
A SupaPark ride watch on Cosmic Rewind will alert you the moment the status flips back to operating, which matters here because the first 20 minutes after a reopening often run shorter than the posted wait while the queue refills.
