Mandalorian and Grogu Get Galaxy's Edge Meet Spot
Published October 13, 2026
The Mandalorian and Grogu have moved into a traditional, set meet and greet space in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, according to reports published Tuesday, October 13, 2026. The pair previously roamed the land near the end of the Marketplace area rather than greeting from a fixed spot.
As of Tuesday, October 13, the change also affects Chewbacca, who has moved to a different location in Galaxy’s Edge as part of the shuffle.
The practical difference is how you find them. A roaming character set is a matter of luck and timing — you spot them, you walk over, you hope the crowd around them is thin. A traditional meet and greet means a designated location and a standby line, which is more predictable but also means a posted wait rather than a lucky encounter.
What we know
- The Mandalorian and Grogu — now greeting guests from a traditional meet and greet space in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- Their previous setup — roaming near the end of the Marketplace area in Galaxy’s Edge
- Chewbacca — has moved to a different location in Galaxy’s Edge as a result of the change
What’s not confirmed
Disney has not announced the change, and the reporting available does not state the exact spot inside Galaxy’s Edge where The Mandalorian and Grogu now greet, where Chewbacca has relocated to, or what hours either set keeps. Whether this is a permanent arrangement or a temporary one also has not been stated.
What it means for your trip
- If meeting The Mandalorian and Grogu is a priority, do it early. Character meets with a fixed location and a standby queue build through the morning the same way rides do, and Galaxy’s Edge gets dense once the rope-drop wave finishes with Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run.
- Don’t trade rope drop for it. Your first hour at Hollywood Studios is the cheapest shot you get at Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance — a Lightning Lane Single Pass attraction that is not covered by Multi Pass — or at Slinky Dog Dash. Slot the meet into the midday lull instead, when ride lines peak and character queues often ease.
- Ask a Cast Member in the land for the current spot. Both locations are new as of this week and the land is large, with Black Spire Outpost’s Marketplace, the Falcon, and Rise spread far apart; a wrong guess costs you real walking.
- Families with young kids: a fixed greeting spot is a genuine upgrade over chasing a roaming set with a stroller. You can line up once in shade-adjacent queue space rather than circling the Marketplace hoping to catch them.
- Chewbacca being on the move matters if he was on your must-meet list — confirm his new spot on arrival rather than heading to where you found him on a past trip.
