No New Disney World Temporary Closures Reported This Week

According to reports, Walt Disney World had no new temporary closures added for the September 18-25 period. As of Saturday, September 19, several major closures and construction projects are still active across the resort, including in Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Disney Springs, and Disney’s BoardWalk.
The no-new-temporary-closure stretch does not mean the resort is clear of construction. Carousel of Progress remains closed for a major refurbishment, the former Rivers of America area is permanently closed for the coming Cars-themed Piston Peak project, and parts of Hollywood Studios remain behind walls for future Monsters, Inc. work.
Reports also noted that The Magic of Disney Animation opened at Disney’s Hollywood Studios this past week, while Hurly-Burly at Disney’s BoardWalk has shown visible progress. Wolfgang Puck’s in Disney Springs also reportedly closed permanently during the same week.
