Multi Pass Reportedly Hit $45 at Magic Kingdom Peak Dates
Published October 5, 2026 · Updated October 12, 2026
Walt Disney World’s paid line-skipping option now costs several times what it did at launch, according to a report published Tuesday, September 29, 2026. The coverage cites Lightning Lane Multi Pass reaching $45 per person, per day at Magic Kingdom on peak dates in late 2025, against the flat $15 per person, per day Disney charged when the paid service first arrived in October 2021.
As of Monday, October 5, 2026, Disney’s own Lightning Lane information says prices vary by date and by theme park or attraction and may run higher during peak periods. Disney has not announced a price change in connection with this report.
The reported increase is not uniform across the resort. Magic Kingdom generally carries the highest Multi Pass pricing, while Disney’s Animal Kingdom was documented closer to the original benchmark at $35. EPCOT was reported at $37 and Disney’s Hollywood Studios at $39 on the dates cited.
The product itself also changed over those five years. On July 24, 2024, Disney renamed the service Lightning Lane Multi Pass and renamed individual purchases Lightning Lane Single Pass, changes Disney announced in June 2024. Advance selections came with it: Multi Pass buyers choose up to three experiences and arrival windows before the visit, with Disney Resort hotel guests and guests at certain select hotels able to purchase up to seven days ahead and most other eligible guests three days ahead.
Five headliners still sit outside Multi Pass and are sold separately as Single Pass. Reports also note Disney offers Lightning Lane Premier Pass, a higher tier providing one-time access to each available Lightning Lane experience; no Premier Pass price appeared in the coverage available.

What’s not confirmed
Disney has not announced any change restricting who can buy Lightning Lane or limiting access for standard ticket holders. The figures above are dated snapshots from reporting, not current or guaranteed rates, and Disney has not published a fixed price for any date. Lightning Lane remains optional on top of valid theme park admission, and standby queues are still available where offered.
What it means for your trip
- Price your own dates rather than budgeting from any quoted number. Park choice moves the cost meaningfully, so a Magic Kingdom day and an Animal Kingdom day are not the same purchase.
- If Animal Kingdom lands near the low end on your dates, that is often the weakest case for buying — its ride list is short and several queues move fine in the morning.
- Decide Single Pass separately. Buying Multi Pass does not cover the five headliners above, and that second decision is where groups overspend.
- SupaPark’s sell-out and refill trends show when a given Lightning Lane typically runs out, which is the practical input for whether to buy at all.
- Rope drop remains the free version of this strategy. One headliner before 9:30 AM frequently saves more time than a mid-day Lightning Lane.
