What Time Does Each Disney World Lightning Lane Sell Out? 30 Days of Data
Published October 7, 2026 · Updated October 12, 2026
Short answer: it depends on the ride, and the gap is big. From September 7 to October 6, 2026, three Single Pass headliners usually had nothing left by 7:00 AM on the day of the visit, because they sold out in the advance booking windows: TRON Lightcycle / Run (25 of 30 days), Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind (20 of 29) and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train (19 of 30). Slinky Dog Dash was next. EPCOT’s Multi Pass rides ran out around 10:10 to 10:31 AM, Peter Pan’s Flight around noon and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure mid-afternoon. Two rides didn’t follow the pattern. Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance sold out on only 17 of 30 days and usually came back. Avatar Flight of Passage didn’t sell out at all on 21 of 30 days.
SupaPark checks Disney’s Lightning Lane availability every few seconds and records every change. For this piece we took the last 30 completed days for 11 of the most-wanted Lightning Lanes and worked out three things for each one: when it ran out, how often nothing was left by 7:00 AM, and whether return times came back later. Every number below comes from that log, as of October 7, 2026.
When each Lightning Lane sold out (Sep 7 to Oct 6, 2026)
| Ride | Park | Pass | When it ran out | Gone before 7 AM | Came back later? |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| TRON Lightcycle / Run | Magic Kingdom | Single | Before 7 AM; the other 5 days at a median of 8:32 AM | 25 of 30 days (83%) | 1 of 30 sellout days |
| Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind | EPCOT | Single | Before 7 AM; the other 9 days (all weekdays) at a median of 9:55 AM | 20 of 29 (69%) | 0 of 29 |
| Seven Dwarfs Mine Train | Magic Kingdom | Single | Before 7 AM; 6 days at a median of 9:49 AM; no sellout on 5 days | 19 of 30 (63%) | 20 of 25, around 1:48 PM |
| Slinky Dog Dash | Hollywood Studios | Multi | Before 7 AM on 13 days; the other 16 at a median of 8:12 AM | 13 of 29 (45%) | 0 of 29 |
| Test Track | EPCOT | Multi | Median 10:10 AM | 2 of 27 (7%) | 0 of 27 |
| Frozen Ever After | EPCOT | Multi | Median 10:13 AM | 0 of 27 | 0 of 27 |
| Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure | EPCOT | Multi | Median 10:31 AM | 0 of 28 | 0 of 28 |
| Peter Pan’s Flight | Magic Kingdom | Multi | Median 12:06 PM; no sellout on 1 day | 0 of 29 | 0 of 28 |
| Tiana’s Bayou Adventure | Magic Kingdom | Multi | Median 3:21 PM; no sellout on 1 day | 0 of 29 | 1 of 28 |
| Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance | Hollywood Studios | Single | Sold out on 17 of 30 days: 12 before 7 AM, 5 at a median of 9:02 AM | 12 of 30 (40%) | 16 of 17, around 10:16 AM |
| Avatar Flight of Passage | Animal Kingdom | Single | Usually didn’t: no sellout on 21 of 30 days; 8 days at a median of 11:59 AM | 1 of 30 (3%) | 2 of 9 |

How to read it:
- Gone before 7 AM means no return times were left at 7:00 AM on the day itself, and almost none in the hour before.
- Median times are for days when the ride sold out after 7:00 AM.
- Came back later counts sellout days when return times reappeared at least an hour after the sellout and stayed available for most of an hour. Short flickers don’t count.
- The number of days differs by ride because we leave out days when the ride itself was down at the moment it “sold out” (more on that in the method section).
Each ride name links to its live page, which updates every day. All 11 are on the Lightning Lane sell-out hub.
Single Pass rides you need to buy in your advance window
If TRON, Cosmic Rewind or Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is a must-do, plan to buy it the moment your advance window opens. Waiting until the morning of your visit usually means it’s already gone.
- TRON Lightcycle / Run was gone before 7:00 AM on 25 of 30 days: 18 of 22 weekdays and 7 of 8 weekend days. On the other 5 days it sold out at a median of 8:32 AM. It almost never came back: return times reappeared for a real stretch on 1 of 30 sellout days.
- Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind was gone before 7:00 AM on 20 of 29 days, including every weekend day we measured (8 of 8). On the 9 weekdays it lasted past 7:00 AM, it sold out at a median of 9:55 AM. It didn’t come back on any of the 29 sellout days.
- Seven Dwarfs Mine Train was gone before 7:00 AM on 19 of 30 days, and sold out at a median of 9:49 AM on 6 more. It’s also the one with a real second chance (next section).
The Seven Dwarfs afternoon comeback
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train sold out on 25 of 30 days. On 20 of those 25, return times came back for at least an hour, typically around 1:48 PM. On a typical sellout day, the re-released time added up to about 82 minutes.
So a sold-out Seven Dwarfs Lightning Lane in the morning isn’t the end of the story. Check again in the early afternoon, or let an alert do the checking for you. Its Magic Kingdom neighbor behaves very differently: TRON came back on just 1 of 30 sellout days.
Multi Pass: what to book first, park by park
This covers only the Multi Pass rides we track. Earlier sellouts go first.
Hollywood Studios: Slinky Dog Dash first. It was gone before 7:00 AM on 13 of 29 days. On the other 16 it sold out at a median of 8:12 AM, and never later than 9:29 AM. It’s the Multi Pass ride most likely to be gone before you get to it.
EPCOT: the three headliners run out within about 20 minutes of each other. Test Track’s median sellout was 10:10 AM, Frozen Ever After’s 10:13 AM and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure’s 10:31 AM. Test Track was the only one gone before 7:00 AM (2 days, both weekends). The earliest sellouts were 7:44 AM for Test Track, 8:08 AM for Frozen Ever After and 9:48 AM for Remy. None of the three came back on a sellout day. With timing this close, book the one you care about most in advance rather than chasing whichever “sells out first.”
Magic Kingdom: Peter Pan’s Flight before Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Peter Pan’s Flight sold out at a median of 12:06 PM, as early as 7:17 AM. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure lasted much longer, with a median of 3:21 PM and an earliest sellout of 12:13 PM.
Animal Kingdom: we don’t track an Animal Kingdom Multi Pass ride for this piece yet. Avatar Flight of Passage is a Single Pass ride (see below).
Weekday vs weekend
There were only 8 weekend days in this window (September 12-13, 19-20 and 26-27, and October 3-4), so treat these splits as a direction, not a rule. Some rides changed a lot:
- Cosmic Rewind: gone before 7:00 AM on all 8 weekend days, versus 12 of 21 weekdays.
- Rise of the Resistance: gone before 7:00 AM on 6 of 8 weekend days, versus 6 of 22 weekdays. It didn’t sell out at all on 11 of 22 weekdays.
- Tiana’s Bayou Adventure: median sellout 2:03 PM on weekends, versus 3:58 PM on weekdays.
- Flight of Passage: ran out on 5 of 8 weekend days (once before 7:00 AM, otherwise at a median of 10:58 AM), versus 4 of 22 weekdays.
- Slinky Dog Dash went the other way: gone before 7:00 AM on 11 of 21 weekdays but only 2 of 8 weekend days.
Others barely moved. TRON was gone before 7:00 AM on 18 of 22 weekdays and 7 of 8 weekend days. Frozen Ever After’s median was 10:13 AM on weekdays and 10:11 AM on weekends. Remy’s was 10:32 AM versus 10:24 AM, and Peter Pan’s Flight’s 12:05 PM versus 12:34 PM.
What usually stays available
- Avatar Flight of Passage didn’t sell out on 21 of 30 days, including 18 of 22 weekdays. On the 8 days it sold out during the day, the median was 11:59 AM (as early as 10:28 AM, as late as 4:17 PM). It was gone before 7:00 AM once, on a weekend. On a weekday, you can usually still buy it the day of your visit.
- Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance sold out on 17 of 30 days. When it did, return times came back on 16 of those 17 days, typically around 10:16 AM, and on a typical sellout day they were available again for a combined six hours or so. If it’s gone when you look in the morning, look again mid-morning.
- Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is the late-day option at Magic Kingdom: a median sellout of 3:21 PM, and 3:58 PM on weekdays. Its latest sellout was 8:15 PM.
- Peter Pan’s Flight usually held on until about noon (median 12:06 PM).
When can you book Lightning Lane?
Disney’s advance window opens at 7:00 AM Eastern:
- Disney Resort hotel guests: 7 days before check-in, for the whole stay.
- Everyone else: 3 days before each park day.
You buy and book in Disney’s My Disney Experience app. A ride that’s “gone before 7 AM” on the day was used up by people booking in those earlier windows. To find the exact date and time your window opens, use the Lightning Lane booking-window calculator.
Get an alert when a sold-out Lightning Lane comes back
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Rise of the Resistance show that “sold out” often isn’t final. SupaPark watches a ride’s Lightning Lane and alerts you when return times open up again, so you can grab the re-release in My Disney Experience instead of refreshing all day. Free accounts get these alerts by email, and paid plans add push notifications. Set one up at supapark.com.
How we measured this
SupaPark checks Disney’s Lightning Lane availability every few seconds and records every change. From that log we build a minute-by-minute timeline for each ride and each day (Eastern time).
- Sold out: the first minute from 7:00 AM on when no return times are left and less than 10% of the next hour has any.
- Gone before 7 AM: that minute is 7:00 AM itself, and the hour before was also under 10% available.
- Came back: at least an hour after the sellout, return times were available for at least half of the following hour.
- Did not sell out: no sellout minute before the hour before park close.
What we left out: days when the ride itself was down at the moment it “sold out”, because a breakdown isn’t a sellout. That removed 3 days for Test Track, 3 for Frozen Ever After and 1 each for Cosmic Rewind, Slinky Dog Dash, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, Peter Pan’s Flight and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Remy’s was also closed for 1 full day. No days were dropped for gaps in our data.
Limitations: this is 30 days in early fall (September 7 to October 6, 2026), with only 8 weekend days, so busier seasons may look different. It covers 11 rides. These are past patterns, not a guarantee for your date. The ride pages update every day with the latest 30 days.
