How the best-week score works
We pool years of historical posted wait times across all four parks and average them by ISO week of the year. Then we normalize to a 0–100 crowd score — the quietest week of the year sits near 0, the busiest near 100 — so the seasonal shape stands out regardless of how high waits ran in any single year.
The pattern is remarkably stable: back-to-school September and the post-holiday weeks of January and early February consistently run quietest, while the Christmas–New Year window, spring break, and peak summer run hottest. It's a planning guide, not a guarantee — real crowds shift with the calendar each year.
